  1. Need to be bloody sure those mice can't get back in! Think I'd do the lino first. Doing it yourself?
  2. Got / can you get any pallets?
  3. I MAY have some spare Turbo Clips. Failing that you might want to consider magnetic fixings. I might well have some of those also that I won't use and you're more than welcome to.
  4. Show us a pic of the base / floor.
  5. Finally got hold of the C-Tec guy after we kept missing each other. Discussed my test pieces. CT1 Power Grab & Bond it is then to put the tiles on the Aquaseal membraned, ply deck.
  6. My plinth clips are a bit different and don't clip around a tubular leg. Instead they're a piece of sprung steel, very thin that gets hammered into the top of the board and grips the underside of the base unit. Struggling to find an image. Edit: Found them, called Turbo-clips. I only have the bigger clips shown, not sure what the smaller one is for:
  7. Yep. Though I only paid lip service to the taping. Used more as a draughtproofing thing.

    Hi

I've even been using the old tile boxes as they're empty as backup under the Antinox.

    Hi

    There was this thread:
  10. 3D printer, down to £249.99 with code PRINTER50: https://www.aldi.co.uk/balco-3d-printer-/p/086887240233900?
  11. Star Wars is coming! Not bad for 50p each!
  12. I've collected various halogen & fluorescent under cupboard and plinth lights over the years off site etc. Took me so long to fit any of them they've been superceded by LED! Did buy some LAPP ones in clearance in S'fix a while back. Two sets of 10 in blue for the bathroom and a set of 10 in white. Blue ones are going in the bathroom and the white I've fitted in the kitchen. Paid between £4.99 & £14.99 a set. Look better in the flesh so to speak. These just needed a 22mm hole: Basically you get a set like this random image: The ones in the pic are 45mm but you can get smaller diameters. They need to plug in somewhere of course so think how convenient it'll be to switch them. Alternatives are LED strips of course but I was going cheap as!

    Hi

I've made a temporary full size door before out of tile batten and stapled the Antinox to it.

    Hi

Correx is probably the best known variant. Wicked now do Proplex rather than Antinox. https://www.wickes.co.uk/Proplex-Black-Surface-Protection-Sheet---2mm-x-1-2m-x-2-4m/p/118670?
  15. Attractive too...
  16. One of my favourites as a kid that. Out about the same time as the one with two nuns fighting over a bike and the Mother Superior threatens to put the saddle back on.....
  17. Could do but will need proper priming and painting imo. Bead of mastic between floor and board will help. Use softwood if you like. I was thinking quick & cheap!
  18. Depends how / what you cut it on. Put cut edges facing in. Who's going to lie on the floor and look that close anyway!
  19. Joking aside the green chipboard with a coat of clear varnish might fit in with is green painted walls...

    Hi

Bathroom door here is a sheet of Antinox stapled one side to the stud wall: It folds too...
  21. You could rip up some MOISTURE RESISTANT flooring grade chipboard and paint it black... https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-P5-T+G-Chipboard-Flooring---18mm-x-600mm-x-2400mm/p/164516? Add some cheap LED plinth lights...? Gumtree is your friend, maybe Preloved for a 2nd hand induction hob.
  22. Exactly that! Smooth caulk level with top of skirting and paint to match skirting. Or maybe where door architrave has a gap.
  23. How's Reading South East? I mean "Welcome!"
  24. Got my induction hob from Comet when they closed down. £169.95 down from £399.00. That well known make Electra Elecheib. Designed in Israel made in Turkey! Schott Ceran glass etc. Hasn't missed a beat to be fair. Let's hope it gets us through Christmas dinner No7. Had it a good while now.
