    Gate Pillars

Bugger! The track the gate rolls on, I deliberately had it about 3" short of the pillar I've just built to allow for pedestrian access as in no trip hazard. It ends roughly where the two bolts stick up through the base member where one of the rollers attach: I'm going to have to make a 3 or 4' length of temporary extension rail to slide the gate onto so I've clear access all around the post for the next pillar. Thinking to slot some 20mm galv conduit and tack in an upside down T section cut from an I beam.
  2. Yes, it's a bitter pill to swallow for sure.
  3. I think you will want a weather bar here as well i.e between the two windows: This just as an example, timber, aluminium, plastic all available. Will need to be siliconed on and pinned / screwed with stainless fixings ideally.
  4. Are the push buttons themselves crudded up? Disassemble and spray with some silicone spray?
  5. Split air hose? When you flush do the buttons return promptly and fully? Are you pushing against air or water?
  6. Could you simply not move the ones above the bed? ?
  7. Mesh or perforated sheet.
  8. Paint them matt?

  10. Just a plain mirror. I've a back box there ready as I was just going to put a demister pad on the rear. For about the width of the sink it's an outside wall, brick cavity. So behind the white painted wall I've 2" battens with pir in between. With hindsight I'd have brought that studded wall out further and fitted a flush cabinet.
  11. Yep. Has to be 700mm wide, no more no less. 700x700, 800 or 900 would work. Tbh just haven't got around to finding one.
  12. And not at all unsightly!

  15. Be real careful with sealed, box section fabrications if having them galvanised. You need gas escape holes in them. If you don't put them in the galvanisers will. They don't really care where they drill. You can end up with holes, open to the elements in the top side of your fabrication which then fills up with water!
  16. I'll dig them out sometime. Is the intent to refinish boxes you might get or are you one of those arty farty types who likes to "preserve the patina"?
  17. I've a few ammo boxes here I'll likely never use. All different sizes. My brother used to get them for me when I was a kid. Started off with spent shell casings! A bit of sentimental value maybe but nowt else. The 5 gallon fuel can though I do use.
  18. I think SBR varies a Hell of a lot in price. I use the Cementone one: https://www.screwfix.com/p/cementone-sbr-admixture-white-5ltr/91566
