  1. Saying that it's amazing the amount of time the police have to waste dealing with what are ostensibly incidents stemming from mental health issues...
  2. Hasn't @oranjeboom recently done similar with his windows in ewi?

  4. Good time to bury annoying neighbours under the concrete.....
  5. I whacked in loads of concrete screws with my 110V Makita SDS with a chuck adapter in and a Torx bit in it. Seemed to work.
  6. Have you got a 230V mains pistol drill? That'd drive them in. What have you got in the way of drills?
  7. Some photos would help.
  8. Do you have a list of what's gone? Serial numbers? Maybe post in case anyone is offered stuff for sale.
  9. I like that idea. I want UFH in our study area. That's 22mm p5 on 100mm joists, onto building paper onto concrete. (It's our old boot room I lined). Love the idea of routing the existing boards but I'd want to pull the floor boards up as there's only 100mm roll insulation between the joists and I would look to replace with pir. If only I'd found eBuild when I did it originally! Saying that could I put 100mm pir between 100mm joists or would I need an air gap under the boards? Cheers.
  10. Mind those sharp edges getting it down!

I need at some time to add some bright LEDs around the welding mask which many people do. Amazing the difference good strong light makes to seeing the weld pool even when the mask auto darkens. I might invest in a cheat lens too.

It's telling isn't it when lying on a scrap of dpm in the dark is preferable! So useful this little Parkside welder.
  13. Sorry to hear this. I was welding earlier down by the gate. Had some nosey git pull up, wind down the window and have a good mooch. Didn't know him from Adam.

It ain't pretty but it'll hold some bricks up whilst they set:
  15. I've just got 20A switches above the worktop...on show. Unswitched 1 gang sockets below. I'm feeling very isolated on this.
  16. How about... Power enclosure: Into that plug 13A Quinetic receivers: https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/QUA313.html Plug the wall warts for your fairy lights into that?
  17. Seconds?
  18. That cheapo 3 channel controller you pointed me at a while back has been spot on thanks.
  19. If ever you want to paint that wall behind all the fittings then buy a cheap roll of tin foil. Great for masking difficult to mask things like pipes, holds it's form and is easy to remove. I'm thinking maybe a matt black canvas to show everything off and polish the copper..... ?
  20. How about mounting in a neat line on the back of that doubled up roof timber (the one with the stud & plate washer)?
  21. Get ALL your bits, plan it loose THEN select your enclosure I would. The one I have for all the above bits on the board is clear fronted and tbh a bit oversize but it'll go in a downstairs cupboard.....eventually. Cobwebs look unsightly and slugs just find their way in (and can even cause shorts). You can always paint the box "brick" coloured. Even down to fake mortar lines! ?
  22. I'd line a "box" with fire resistant pb. This is rough and temporary, on a loose board but you'll get the idea. Bluetooth (ceiling speakers) psu socket is permanently on. Next socket is switched on and off by the switched receiver
  23. If you WANT mice, rats and squirrels...get one of these: F***ing useless! I've actually heard it say: "Ooh look a RAT Dad, best we get a cat!"
  24. Are you having a ceiling in there? You could mount everything on a hinge down flap maybe? Might have to compromise on your ceiling insulation...
