@pocster what size Sigma frame did you go for? Flush plates for the 12cm can be had new for £35: https://www.tradingdepot.co.uk/geberit-sigma01-dual-flush-plate-gloss-chrome?

I've got an Aldi compressor and their sand blast attachment. I'm always using the compressor, from tyres to nail gun to simply blowing brick dust off the Rage 3 saw. Sand blaster is slow, runs out quick and wants to be more "agressive" ideally.

My frame is Geberit, pan is a Bernstein NT2038
-
Why not? The Bernstein I have is excellent. No splashing and the water seems to "scour" the pan to clean it better when it flushes.

Must be made of money! That bog's not rimless.

As kids we would go to our local timber yard and be allowed to climb down into the saw blade pit and fill up carrier bags with shavings for our pet rabbits and guinea pigs. Blade must have been 6 or 8' in diameter and razor sharp. Sometimes they would even switch the saw off! ? H&S would have a fit nowadays.

? If I go there I'll certainly be digging a deep hole... Theres surprisingly little volume left to fill inside the pillars.
-
The holes provide a nice key for the mortar, they match up with the holes in ths bricks. Lots of lateral support.

That was bloody hard work drilling 1/4" st/st plate to make "lintels": Good old genuine Starrett hole saws struggled but the Morse brand (American) cobalt ones did it with plenty of cutting compound. Saying that the 20 & 25mm ones are a bit worn now. Still good for wood. Need another 3 for the next pillar. Might splash out and have them fabricated. It'll only cost me £25 for a metre of st/st plate but I'll need to buy more hole saws.

Have a wall hung pan and you can have the loop underneath to keep you feet toasty. I didn't have the loop under my bath as it's half sunk and there's no slab there anyway just 3/4" marine ply onto the pir. Also nothing in the cupboard where the linen bin lives (lower left corner). Didn't want to be warming smelly clothes. Watch out having UFH pipes too near to your shower waste as it can dry the trap out. My waste is a wall drain behind the perimeter insulation so not an issue for me.

CGI mouse? I always thought they could fit through a 10mm dia hole...
-
Not a fan of DeWalt tools per se but quite impressed with their safety boots I have to say. Light and comfortable from the off and so far hardwearing. Wide fitting too. I specifically search for wide fitting.

I'll cobble something together in the garden this evening with 4 "plinths" and the laser to show you exactly but in essence yes. I'd have placed the laser level on a 5th point outside the 4 plinths. The dead level, horizontal beam fires across the top of all 4 plinths. Put the tip of the tape on top of each plinth and measure up to the laser beam. Write down the 4 figures you get. Will tell you which plinth is highest/lowest and enable you to calculate one relative to the other.

Find out who your DNO is or water, telecoms etc provider. A pretty, detailed PDF will be on their web site ref service trench requirements. Something like this: http://www.swanage.gov.uk/userfiles/file/Documents prepared by Kehr and Tucker/Mains Trenching Guide Colour 2012.pdf

Agreed but better than nothing.

Must admit I didn't look at the "view from above" pics showing the gap. Looks like your installer missed the silicone:

Sink, bath and shower wastes in concrete floor
Onoff replied to Triassic's topic in Waste & Sewerage
My basin and semi sunken bath go into the same 50mm waste. Anti siphon trap on the basin. Connection to the bath via a 40mm flexible. -
Wireless WiFi Smart Intercom / Video
Onoff replied to Onoff's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
Need a source for 4, black, L shaped, rubber corner protectors I can stick onto the exposed column edges. 2m long would be good. Cheaper the better as spending £300 on wireless safety edges! -
Looks like an organic stain to me. You can see little patches starting to form. Lichens in there? Fed from the dirt laden rain off the roof. Presume the other side of the canopy is OK? I imagine, if you put a spirit level front to back under the canopy, then that side might lean back rather than tilting forward. I'd be making up a small stainless shoe to "hook" under that red oxide coloured piece of the flashing at the top of the stain. It'd shoot the water out away from the lamp too. Not got any nests as in birds/bees, wasps up in there?

You can lead a horse to water is the phrase I think! You could have used a laser if they were 2m difference!
-
Have the posts sitting 2cm low or drop 2cm of packing into the bottom of the shoe. Treat it with Creocote or something.
-
Should have bought a laser level like I said...oh look a tenner off now! https://m.clasohlson.com/uk/Cocraft-HL10-S-Cross-Line-Laser-Level/Pr409996000

I was tempted but didn't succumb. Not sure where I'd use them until I get onto the Capri...bugger...just realised that. Only a fiver: Would a 15mm have been good to include? Think you have to have a flare for these things...
-
Don t worry you'll soon be able to buy a DeWalt coloured robot!

Pantry keeping it cool with mains water pipe underfloor
Onoff replied to passivhybrid's topic in Underfloor Heating
Terrific, I just need the marble slab then!
