That was my first thought, I have seen similar before, one customer had mold growing in corners (coldest part of wall) and admitted his wife dried all the washing indoors and would not open the windows cus it was cold!
-
That’s been answered above,
-
Mould, damp, cold?, what’s the wall construction?

@canalsiderenovation do you have a plumb centre near you? Ah it’s now called wolesley in Oswestry https://www.wolseley.co.uk/branch/oswestry/?y_source=1_OTU2NzA4My03MTUtbG9jYXRpb24ud2Vic2l0ZQ%3D%3D take your bits in there, flash your eyelids and ask fir help (damsel in distress ?) I have found them helpfull in the past.

OH YES YOU DO!,! It’s not working properly, that’s all you need to know, no one expects you to be a heating engineer , just do as @PeterW says and contact trading standards.
-
exactly, as said before it must be fit fir purpose, either not working properly or badly designed is the suppliers LEGAL responsibility. If they won’t respond to you trading standards carry more clout. (You still thermometers to prove its not working reasonably).
-
Another vote fir thermometers ?♂️

Yes, that will hold it onto the floor ,But how do you connect water pipes to those two bits sticking out, they appear to have “o” rings but no thread???? Anyone!!,

I agree with @patp, I did all our negotiations (and went to appeal myself) but I have been around the trade for a while, would your uncle be willing to go with you to help explain. It’s not rocket science but planners can be a bugger to deal with sometimes. Write a list of your requirements and list them In order of importance (bottom line acceptance. to. nice to have). After my fourth planning application was refused the planner actually told me if I went to appeal I probably would win, Wot?

You really need to check the content of the easement you gave re access on your road.

How effective is Cascamite glue?
joe90 replied to epsilonGreedy's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
Not if you bang the nails in quickly, or use screws to hold it down tighter. If you don’t moisten the surface the bubbling will be diminished/act more slowly. ? edit, with mine I used 4x2 and paslode nails. -
(Panto season) OH YES IT IS. !!!

Round here, it’s the parish council that has a lot of local knowledge, you could inform them, but they may already know, find a local parish councillor.

Storing Bricks over winter...
joe90 replied to MikeGrahamT21's topic in Bricklaying, Blockwork & Mortar
Yes I had mine dropped on pallets (very boggy ground) and a board on top. -
Establishing a contract & works information for a Contractor
joe90 replied to StevieD's topic in Project & Site Management
What has building control got to do with cost? +1, to the above. I find problems between builder and customer are usually over “assumptions “. When I used to quote fir work as a builder, it was very specific, no ambiguity, “I supply this, you supply that, I do this”. I believe you will also get a “gut feeling “ about a good builder/contractor when you sit face to face to discuss your project. -
Storing Bricks over winter...
joe90 replied to MikeGrahamT21's topic in Bricklaying, Blockwork & Mortar
When it’s built will it be covered???, just put a board over it or bits of poly. I would buy them now, there was a National brick shortage just after I bought mine so was very lucky. -
I have a “tame” gas guy to do our inspections, he is old school and applies common sense, I just hope he does not retire, otherwise I might just flog the rental.
-
yes, render then thin coat plaster, back boxes sealed to cables with silicone
-
On one of the machines I fitted a few years ago, the instructions said the plug must be accessible before pulling the machine out.
-
again, I said this a long time ago, all purchased items BY LAW must be fit fir purpose. However, because I designed and installed my own system I have no come back on anyone else but you do and as @Declan52 says above you have to prove it. Those things I posted about are dead cheap.

Not coming then ?

Nah, too old for that now.
