  1. I wonder how much power that uses to burn poo etc?
  2. If the felt is well installed, in good Nick and does not need to be disturbed then why (if you are leaving a ventilated space ).
  3. I really liked the crate type drawers in my first pic, different depths available. but of course !,! ?
  4. I don’t like untidy (part of being OCD I am told,) I am a bloke ?‍♂️ ( Er indoors has twice the size wardrobe as me and her summer collection is in the loft ).
  5. ? yes roots are always a problem, that looks like a big tree, never mind, better than going to the gym eh? ?
  6. They look like clay tiles and they tend to curl slightly when fired so that’s quite normal, concrete versions tend to be flatter but not as nice looking.
  7. That would be such a shame to demolish that garage, can you not create a drive around it?. I am a fan of the look of dormers but they are difficult to insulate properly without looking overly chunky. I would try to loose them.
  8. Oh so “show me yours and I will show you mine” ??? Mine,
  9. Practice makes perfect ?
  10. I built a walk through wardrobe going to our en suite, hers (large) to the left, mine (small) to the right. I had intended to build doors but not yet got round to it (if I ever do!) and it works well. Being open means we (I) have to be tidy ?.
  11. Well I used floplast cast iron effect and it looks very good, people have actually thought it was cast iron (from a distance!). does the job well and much cheaper than some.
  12. Then that’s the best reason to use them. ? crack on!
  13. I like that idea of threaded rod into concrete in holes, cheap, easy to DIY. @Declan52 are you watching?, far easier than concrete base!!!, just convince er indoors.
  14. IMO yes, very noisy, apt to breakdown, they pump uphill at their location only so you need a waste pipe at the “office “ with a gradient down to your mains drains. “Upstairs WC” ?.bog on stilts ?.
  15. How are you going to get the slope from your soil pipe to the garden room, surely it will be above ground by the time it gets there?
  16. I am sure the casing could be sprayed the “correct” colour!!!
  17. So it may well be that your high consumption is down to lack of insulation wen it’s really cold (you are still waiting fir your EWI if I remember? ?).
  18. Well they are big in the game and been around a long time to get a good rep. My MVHR is a Mitsubishi unit ?
  19. Oh no, rockwall for me, recycled glass bottles etc, no fire risk ? I did however have to use “plastic” insulation under my slab as rockwall won’t support concrete ?.
  20. Makes interesting listening, was pleased to hear the major manufacturer of insulation makes rockwall type which recycles old glass and is zero combustible (Grenfell!) which is the majority of my insulation.
  21. Use a full size if you can get it in but I couldn’t, B.I. Never passed comment, and it’s never caused a problem even with a house full.
  22. But are you claiming RHI?, lots on here are not, if hubby is the installer(plumber) then I am sure he can make it cool after it’s signed off (wink wink).
  23. Never come across 7.5mm plasterboard, do you mean 9.5mm?. Personally I don’t like 9.5mm, too thin and flexible fir my liking, 12.5 always IMO.
  24. I did this at a previous house, wooden posts with chainlink fencing. Planted bushes /trees next to it and they grew through the chainlink eventually holding it up (so the dog next door could not get through ?
