? Grass land is used for grazing animals or mowing fir silage etc. I think there is more to be done with gas collection from slurry pits etc on farms .
On Laura keunsberg programme on Sunday a chap (can’t remember who he was) was spouting the argument there was not a problem with burning gas etc as it was standard technology to capture the Co2 and dispose (bury?) it. I would have thought that was expensive to do?, not possible on everybody’s gas boiler!!!
Late to this (but used to be a kitchen fitter), then the units need straightening
Then the units should be spaced out to cope with this. (Walls are very rarely flat/accurate).
I have a woodburner, live in the countryside , external air vent, occasional use and never noticed a stuffy feeling when lit, MVHR set to slightly positive pressure . Yes a marmite question but IMO it works for us.
I am not a plumber (but have done loads), using that will leave a small amount of water permenantly against the seal but as long as it’s good it will work (it’s what I would do.)
Lots on help and plans etc on utube. I was going to build one but my plans changed (unfortunately). Lasting a long time will be dependant on quality of timber and the protection you give it (IMO). Keep us informed how it goes 👍
I am skinny so 600mm is fine for me, I just erected a potting shed for my sister in her small garden and we used the back of the shed as the fence (in agreement with the neighbour), she could not afford any wasted space.
I would suggest that as a member here and having just built a very energy saving home you already have a sensible head on regarding energy usage, the big increase in price just makes us all focus some more. It’s a shame we can’t give kids their own meters and charge them from their allowance. My sister in law used to give her kids their child allowance, but any clothes etc other than “essential” they bought themselves, it worked.
My built in wardrobes use stud walling and plasterboard (with ply panels behind to carry poles etc) and painted to match walls, no back panel and no doors.
Yes and PV, It’s been said it’s not always sunny or windy but @SteamyTea has pointed at figures that say that’s not a problem, I.e. wind and solar will cope?
No batteries here or PV but I have candles and an old genny I need to mend, seriously tho as said above, always good to plan for the worst but the press are scare mongering, if they did no planning that would be worse. Yes scarey times ahead what with Putin and his war etc. Hopefully our gov will act together to do what is best and not just slag each other off. (Ever the optimist).
