I’ve skimmed both my builds It’s a better job

I run a dry lining company around half of our jobs are tape and jointed the other half skimmed Tape and jointing is slightly more expensive I’ve skimmed my last two builds Personal preference

I worked on a friends self build in the lake district 19000 sq ft He owns an international electronics company and automated everything Lights loos heating shutters curtains If if could be automated It was Five years on He admits he doesn’t really use any of it now -

We had three quotes ALL came back with the same calcs Like many things They seem to use the same software -

Sounds like our previous build We had three tanks One a modern plastic type The other two 6 meter deep concrete rings One was directly under one of the corners of the house and one under the garage Both had to be filled with concrete The third clean hardcore tamed dow in in layers Our SE dismissed doing anything else

Your going to have to gently tap around the edge for an hour Then start hitting it with slump hammer No other way -
Hire a brick saw They are worth there weight in gold
