Not yet but the flooring company said they will include it and do it a few days beforehand. He was very good and moisture tested the floors etc and seemed to very much know his stuff. That quote doesn't look too bad @Wagas compared to what we have had.

Yes it came on a recommendation as he did all the flooring in the pub over the bridge. He only lives half a mile away.

One guy been out today who has been highly recommended. We have around 175m2 and he is quoting £2700 pls VAT to fit which included stair trims (we have two stairs), any other trims, adhesive and 12 months warranty. He was impressed with the TG Cem Floor screed and said as long as the plasterer covers it up and it doesn't get contaminated it may only need light sanding which he will include in his price. We already have our flooring purchased which we got very cheaply (just shy of £2k) so fitting is more than the flooring.

Yes, completely broke out the old slab on the existing because we wanted the same spec and insulated floor to match the new block and beam. It's difficult to say as it's incorporated into a full quote/breakdown with other work. It certainly wasn't cheap but it was important for us to get insulated floors.

I'm going to eBay them next free listing. All of them have labels on them too. I think they must be before 1968 because of the London Airport name.

To those who commented on our GRP, this is not an update. The next installment to that will hopefully be at the end of next week when the crap roof will be off and a proper company coming in to sort after we insisted on an insurance backed guarantee. I shall update then, watch this space! Flat roof aside..... All our new extension had insulation laid and our existing flooring excavated for insulation too. We had the UFH pipes laid and there was A LOT. And then screed laid which is suprisingly even and flat using TG Cemfloor – a liquid self-levelling screed. Needless to say they did a better job of this than the roof. And part of the in roof solar frames have also gone up. Our builders found these up the loft when taking down the old ceilings. Unfortunately empty! Someone had a good party ?

Ok managed to schedule in a couple of people to look at it. Any ideas what sort of prices I'd be looking at for someone to fit the LVT per m2 (we have the actual flooring but they would need to provide adhesive etc). Thanks

I did in my last house, never had any issues. Tin of beans dropped out of cuoboard and chipped it though. Also ended up with a stain on it from Oven Pride (white mark on a black quartz worktop).

They are so tall! We don't have any windows behind the sink so it's not an issue but they are massive!

I'm trying to find a large sink for our utility/mud room. One that will fit things like oven trays and general large/dirty items I may not want to clean in the kitchen. We don't want to pay a lot but want something that won't be knackered in 12 months and any brands like Frank's, Grohe, Bristan are quite expensive. Any suggestions? Ta

I'm starting to look ahead to get someone to fit our LVT flooring. We have purchased it online and in advance are trying to get some quotes for fitting. I've contacted a few places, asked for recommendations locally but they will only supply and fit, not supply only. We would rather a professional fit it but we can't seem to find anyone. If anyone has some recommendations in the Shropshire or surrounding areas would they let me know please. Thanks ?

Do you have a picture? I sense you're not a fan of the pure white? Stirling seems to be more yellowy. The pearl seems a slightly darker white, not so much yellowy so probably similar to polar white.

We are really struggling to know which white to go for for Krend. We have RAL7016 windows and a black front door. Our builder is suggesting pearl but I don't know if this would look a bit yellow against the windows but is pure white a bit too white/dazzling? Can anyone share if they had one of these colours and if they are willing to post pics that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks

Looks lovely @Mandana Really nice doors too @Pete Are they all RAL7016 Anthracite? Also what colour render did you go for? Is it krend? We have seen a few 'white' variations on samples and it's hard to visualise. You both have lovely cladding. I wish planning hadn't insisted on all render for our bungalow. I'd of loved to have had some variation.

I didn't use Midsummer in the end. My parents have a business and opened a trade account with another company and managed to order the equipment.

I got trade prices for my equipment (just under 4kw in roof system with PV immersion controller) so I'd be interested to see the spec for an 8kw system at this price.

We have emailed the builder now having considered his option and have stated we want the roof completely replaced, with a fall and insurance backed guarantee. Had he done it right properly all this could have been avoided. He's not going to be happy but like it's been pointed out already he must have known and could have put it right at various points instead of progressing. I only hope that he protects the rest of the house when he takes the roof off....

Snap , with RAL 7016 Window Frames and Sweet Chestnut cladding Red looks amazing. Really like the double doors. @HerbJ are your windows/frames anthracite 7016 or black?
