@JSHarris yes its all safe, certified and compliant. Its a professional installation not only certified by installing electrician and inspected by building control for sign off but in addition installer had his annual professional competence check inspection here. May be not a good photo for detail.

That is nothing remotely like mine! It could be that because I have no ceiling void (single storey) that mine is different. I have all led a mix of wall lights ceiling downlights, floor uplights, pendants and led tape. I also have a 5 amp circuit for lamps. All run by dynalite system. Have wall switches and app control. Have also some lights on pir sensors not on automated system. On outside lighting have it on auto as well as pir so if its off on auto it will come on if sensor activated. This is mine in the plant room.

aw @pocster sorry to hear that...good luck with selling them.

Certainly on programming I dont know about install though. Its a great system you can even integrate the Hue range of lighting if you have any of those.
-
I have lighting items 1-5 pretty much as you have written. We use Phillips dynalite system for automated part I can also control that from an app. I have the cctv and alarms hardwired and can also see/ control on phone etc I did not want audio as had it before and never used it. Didnt want the auto blinds either after seeing friends. We have a data cab in the plant room. All our cat cables (every room wired) go into a board in the cab. Our router is in there as is the sky box. We control all our tvs just from remotes no boxes in any rooms all run from data cab. We decided against ASHP and went for mains gas to run our ufh and dhw. Heatmiser system can control from wall stats and app.MVHR in as well of course, can control that from ipad/phone too.

Will let you know in the spring...mine is completely unheated and the back wall is retaining a couple of metres of earth so even being a cavity block/brick will have an element of damp about it

Thanks all...think I have the answers now but how to remedy final step is still something I have to find.... this is where I am at and hoping I have it right! @Sue B yes have the 5/2 four times a day - all was set up to go on and off as should be and @ProDave I hope all my actuators and zones are correctly logged and working now after testing same thank you. There appears to have been a 'hidden' issue with the hot water..... we have a separate timer for HW it is still part of the Heatmiser system but is a dedicated HW timer. It was set for 7.30 -9am 7 days a week - thats all just on once a day. When I look on the app it just shows that once a day cycle, water always scalding hot, we never ever run out of very hot water and our plant room is always extremely hot. Much head scratching as to why boiler still coming on with everything else off and finally I found it. The HW programme on the app was overriding the timer behind the scenes and water was coming on four times a day on the 5/2 pre sets. Now sorted that so boiler only coming on when heating on and/or hot water. Manifold is getting hot when HW heating only is on so I think @PeterW has hit on the reason - a circulation pump setting. If anyone could point me at how to reset that I think I am almost there...except for those bits that have still not been fitted on manifolds LOL Thank you superstars - has kept me busy over Christmas!

I am totally lost?

Thank you....yes not far......he he...It is a Robbens system Is the attached the schematic? I have a book of how to install/commission plus these loose pages. Some weeks ago I did do a little drawing myself of which actuator corresponds to which zone....in a box in the garage will need to find. The detail on the quote is also attached. My gas bills are higher than I would have anticipated - maybe this is the reason. We have not been able to get the house at a comfortable living point yet its either too hot or too cold. ufh.pdf ufh robbens quote detail.pdf

Hello all hope the enforced Christmas break was enjoyed. Here is a little holiday puzzle. Our ufh is a b mystery to me even with the hours spent on u tube etc. We are getting a big blast of heat in the house around 10pm every day its very noticable. Our house temp seems to rise overnight without heat kicking in. MVHR/UFH installed by same person....the one who has not been back to finish the job........I turned the UFH right down on thermostats so its not kicking in at all for last 24 hours or so yet the living area manifold in the plant room is hot and I can feel water running in the pipes, the actuators are not up. The second manifold for bedrooms is located in a cupboard in my bedroom and that is stone cold. All the thermostats are set the same throughout the house so its not that. Anyone point me at a straighforward answer? Failing that I am going to have to try and find someone to come and sort this out. Anyone know any experienced UFH/mvhr people in the Midlands, I run UFh on mains gas boiler. Thanks in anticipation.

Brilliant...well done you!

Well done @Weebles looks great! Merry Christmas to you too.

Good point @Russell griffiths wish you had been supervising not only my window install but also slab pour when no cill pan recess was created. Have no idea on Weebles install but ours had no cill pan and was just stuck straight onto the slab, no provision for drainage at all, ours were level thresholds. We ended up having to cut out the eps and some of the slab and then get waterproofing membranes under as best we could (as with weebles inside was already stuck down). Then as stated mastic etc. The threshold underside drainage holes on ours had to be left exposed so water can drain ....I am left with level thresholds 10mm off the ground, still hoping someone will come and be able to fix this for me.

If you were to insulate you would have to make your wall considerably thicker. These doors are designed to run in a stud wall between the two sheets of plasterboard, , even the instructions tell you to take care that plasterboard nails do not protrude and scratch the door.
-
It is because the wall has to be hollow to allow the dor to slide in. On your normal internal wall you would have sound insulation, the door that slides into the hollow wall is suspended with a gap all around. Mine has brushes. If the door is closed you have a hollow wall with no sound insulation, if the door is open you have a hollow wall with no sound insulation and a piece of wood or whatever suspended in the hollow wall which doesnt provide much sound insulation.

whizzing past your head......

I dropped the pocket doors from several locations due to sound insulation as @Dreadnaught says. I ended up with just one pocket door into the w.c. off the utility room. I have eclisse so mechanism is good and the added comfort that you do not have to hack the wall out to get at it if problems as you do with some other brands. Now I am glad I have just the one pocket door, it works perfectly in that confined space but I wouldnt want them everywhere.

@nmpnmp Mine work through a Neo Hub which I can programme and run from an app. I can also use wall stat if I choose. No-one has ever told me they would learn the temps but as no one told me much I have had to work it out for myself so who knows. My stats are NeoStat V2 looking at the instrctions there are a lot of features I have never explored.
