  1. Just realised that Ed @Construction Channel is late for this party. He loves tools so to speak.
  2. A Hep waterless trap would do it, but one of the hotun traps is ready to go. Iirc this is from the guy who registered on EB where a lengthy volley ensued as to its suitability for retro fit ( where you couldn't guarantee that the soil and waste network could cope with high temp discharge over long periods e.g. an UVC losing its contents ). Your in copper to outside so it should tick all the boxes. I looked high and low. Just not for the right thing ?. Good find. ?
  3. @daiking Done. Quite fitting TBH. You ended up here as you needed an sos call answering, and had to finish most of it yourself so that ok?
  4. I'll have a pint of whatever your drinking
  5. @Dudda 1m2. Seems a lot to me but hey-ho. That the minimum / norm? Just spoke to Colt and they put me in touch with the most helpful guy I've spoken to in a while. He sent me in the Velux direction but as with @ProDave's "corner branch" I just was asking for the wrong bloody thing. @Mr Punter Thanks. I'll link the ones I've shortlisted later, complete with kit.
  6. Hi. Current annoyance is trying to find a supplier for a stairwell smoke ventilation window / roof vent for a pitched roof. Anyone got a lead for such a supplier ? Has to open to 120 degrees from horizontal iirc. Thanks all.
  7. @daiking Profile pic ( avatar ) pronto. Or I'm putting up an image of the diy sos logo for you in the meantime
  8. We'll give dai fair opportunity, but THEN give him something shockingly bad if he doesn't pull his finger out Clocks ticking dai!
  9. @daiking I just realised you need an avatar mate. . You've been 'here' long enough now so time to get on the case ok Sorry to insist, but it's the rule.....................I just made up
  10. PMSL That made me laugh out loud. Good man!
  11. YouTube link please..... "Houston. We have ignition".
  12. I'm sure a proper professional will be along soon
  13. Aka VHT ( very high temp ). . Same stuff you use on stoves and flues etc.
  14. Nope. I just linked a random supplier. I mostly use Saxton ? Cheap as chips for recip and MTool blades. Your just angry cos I won't let you put an access panel in for your WC
  15. My favourite bit from the website :- Quote..... "This means that they can easily be combined with other heating systems already in place because of the low water flow temperature. As a result energy usage is lower and therefore the energy bill, as well." Lol. Doesn't mention excessive heat loss through un / poorly insulated slabs etc. Also, unless the pipes are grouted in with a very thin wet grout the heat transfer by surface contact area will be dire. Doesn't sound like a winner unless you know the history and make up of the floor / insulation, but the worst part is the nonsense in the sales patter. Doesn't sound like they have a clue TBH.
  16. Spray some paint on it, ( the one I linked, don't use gloss lol ), and enjoy the rest of your life. Try and remove the 'bobbles' without doing any further damage as they may well now create hot-spots and glow if caught by the flames. If the coals are arranged properly, the flames shouldn't really get that far out tbh but they're all different. ??
  17. These are damn good and have cut a lot of strange things for me.
  18. Loads of revs and no hammer and it should go through. Its TCT at the end of the day.
  19. Sorry Dai, but you need to be more specific as to what has been damaged mate . The pic is quite dark. The coals can simply be painted with spray / coal VHT touch up paint like this. Is any part actually damaged?
  20. Hot AND cold water. "Monsieur, your really spoiling us"
  21. Seems a shame Gerberit would go to the effort of producing a cistern suitable to be be fully enclosed and you make access to a non moving connection . Would you even be able to get a spanner and grips in there afterwards ? The bath taps are probably the most practical install I've ever seen, and a great solution, but best to keep things practical eh? The cistern just doesn't need access imo. Hepworth bent tap connector and it's a fit n forget job afaic. ?
