  1. C'mon @Onoff. You know you want to build it ( and that's your tiles paid for then )
  2. Surprisingly adequate for a wash basin tap. More than adequate for a WC, and as the flow velocity is reduced it helps to quieten down the noise of the loo filling . I have both my basins off radial 10mm runs teed from a 15mm pipe coming out of my TMV and it's more than adequate. Any more and I'd not be able to flick the tap to the fully open position. 3m to first one and 6m to furthest away . As is I just flick the mixer tap fully open in the hot position and it comes out with good flow rates and the exact same comfortable temp every time without fannying around. Bingo bango. ?
  3. If you take each white knuckle of each manifold to be say 25mm and it looks like a 8-10mm gap between them you can just multiply that by the number of outlets you need.
  4. A bit tricky mate, as I'm in Swansea and that manifold lives in oxford
  5. PM sent, but up to my eyeballs ! . Being popular is great ?
  6. I could dip my sweaty knackers in that right now. ?
  7. Tell him to make sure that only one ( additional ) signatory can book goods out, as in the builder. Set up a password for the account and tell the BM that invoices will only be paid for when a signed AND printed chit is presented. If the BM get sloppy with this pull them straight away. Also ensure that all descriptions and quantities are crystal clear eg no hand-written chits. Edit to add : If your happy with the builder then work with him, and if he invoices on a Thursday make sure he's paid on the Friday. I HATE it when I hold my hand out and there's no dollars, even worse explaining to a gang that their wages are "in a meeting, sorry", and that causes massive repercussions.
  8. £108 delivered Finish the bathroom !
  9. ?
  10. Once it's all connected and you pick the phone up for the first time, you'll hopefully have your dial tone back. Then dial 17070. That's the ring-back test facility . Select option 1 and hang up, then it'll immediately ring you back to confirm your line is properly ringing etc and then just hang up again as instructed
  11. +1 on the tone set. That was what I was going to suggest. Edit it to add : boarding first and going hunting afterwards = time consuming disaster. Just wait until your sparky says you have an open ring main and let the fun commence. No ta.
  12. On the other hand If I recall correctly
  13. Leyland High Opacity brilliant white Matt for me every single day. Goes on to new plaster without the grief of watering down and messing around and covers like you'd never believe. 2 coats in the same day and you’d swear it has had 4. This is NOT a finish coat btw, but rather almost a filler primer paint which will need light sanding before applying a quality ( Johnston's etc ) colour / white finish coat. A product like 'Diamond Matt' from Dulux may suit you well for finish coat as its a scrubbable hard wearing top coat that can be cleaned rather than touched up
  14. How facking big is your kettle? Oh, and looking good ?
  15. Cheers. There's nothing not to like about those just as long as you can reduce the pipe size to 15mm? Some gravity fed systems may not like that as the flow would be reduced. How do you find yours, or have you not tried it yet lol ?
  16. I've seen some tiling that you have look at twice to work out just how they did it so bad. Getting someone to admit they did it poorly is the biggest hurdle, and if you get any money back it's a bonus. Most will shrug it off and walk away, then it's down to yours and their interpretation of what was expected / asked for and what's been delivered. Regardless of title or procedure it's not a simple process, and it's down to you keeping a calm, firm tone and simply to keep pursuing the individual with 100% conviction, stating over and over again that this issue will not go away and needs to be rectified. Materisls can often be assumed as write-offs, and as you'll not want the same jerk back you may never see a penny of remuneration unless you've been prudent enough not to pay them ( until satisfaction and completion ). Deffo a sticky situation but it's best, imo, to get things corrected, even if it's at some additional cost
  17. Hmmm. Food for thought ?
  18. @Onoff Are the quick change tap thingys universal fitting? Never saw them until you showed them off. Any chance of a link ?
  19. Cheapest ones of course ! Tbh I usually end up just using my expensive hand wipes but when in customers house I just nick their b wipes
  20. Get bath with tap holes ready drilled . All come at standard centres for deck fillers so you won't go wrong . Drilling baths is a dangerous game and I still don't look forward to doing it even now. Some pics of how I fitted a bath today Batten on first, Sikaflex EBT and screws, then a generous bead of same on batten tops and the wall where the bath makes contact with it. More goop to fill any void from the top and then use a plastic packer / spreader to shape it into a 'liquid up-stand' as shown. Clean off any excess with wet wipes and leave to cure. ?
  21. I'd do what with a where now?
  22. Fair do's Tom, they look the dogs bollocks. ? Some pics of the tiling next please, to see what I'm up against
  23. Sweet. 10.8 v makita for change of £12! Ordering 2 tomorrow. ??
  24. @craig Afaic, you've stood your ground, 'behaved' admirably, and offered transparency which is good enough for me. A bumpy start but ? happens . Stick around ?
  25. Yea yea....... BT have issued a mugshot of the suspect.
