  1. Yup. Worked like a dream on the last one like it, and one loop was around 130m. ?
  2. Just buy a cheapy diamond bit off ebay. That's what I used on the last resin sink. These are fine for one offs
  3. It's usually loose panels which butt up to each other. Without the glue I'm sure they will 'stray' ( if the Amtico is anything to go by ) so beware.
  4. Turn the thumbscrew on the float and lower it all the way, then try again. Don't blow them both up with your 10 bar fire hydrant ?
  5. They seem so stick out proud of the studs?
  6. The 10a relays will likely / probably have fuses after them too
  7. There's your answer . 1.0mm2 will have loads of headroom, particularly as these will all be independent radial circuits to one zone each. .
  8. +1 I almost always run 1.0mm and if it's a big house I'll just do two runs per floor and split it up. 14 amps for 1.0mm and 18 amps for 1.5mm nominal, less influences like ambient temp and insulation / grouping factors. This is irrelevant though as that all relates to 'fixed' wiring. If this is an aftermarket lighting controller then the cable runs coming out of it aren't part of the fixed wiring, they're accessories. The fixed wiring constraints will terminate at the fused and isolated supply to said controller eg 1x 20a breaker feeding the controller as fixed, and the controller sending accessory live feeds outvto each application ( group of spots / light / led driver / pendant etc ) so the question would then be....what is the individual fused rating of each 'channel' of the controller output ? Best we get some clarity on exactly what's being asked here before moving on .
  9. Asda fat-free 6 for a quid. ?. I do enough for the kids anyhoo
  10. Yes, but an army marches on its stomach Ok, back to building stuff then
  11. Its not bacon, but at least I can start seeing my feet again
  12. Air will be stagnant in there and neither air nor plastic conduct cold very well . Use the time to pick up tile adhesive ?
  13. Just convert at the mdpe fitting then. They're bullet and bombproof so I wouldn't bat an eyelid burying one of those. Maybe ring Hepworth tech and ask them if it'll go straight in with a stainless insert ?
  14. Best to run copper until your out of the buried part, and then use a Hep socket or bend to convert back.
  15. A bit risky if it's going to be buried. If it's not too late, can you get one of these instead ?
  16. I bought my first ever set of metre long SDS drill bits from them, and they lasted me literally years and years. I lost ( misplaced ) them over the years but tbh I think they're still going, somewhere. Their hand-tools are just crap on a good day, and yes I avoid them like the plague. I tend to only buy quality tools now, as they repay you over time. I was working with my mate a while back and used his 16mm SDS bit to drill a hole through a brick wall. After 10 mins of not going anywhere, and the drill clutch kicking in all the time, I investigated. I worked out that he had had the drill sooooo bloody long it had been worn away at the TCT tip to around 13mm. The thing was shaped like a dart . I gave up, called him a twat and went to get my one out of my van. Sat down next to the drill and grabbed the knackered bit to take it out of the drill and got a scalded hand.....as the bloody thing was still white hot from the friction of just rubbing against the bricks. My mate looked at me daft and said it was 'usually ok' to which I went outside and threw it as far away as I could. I bet he went looking for it, and found it, and is still rubbing his way through walls with it. Tight as a ducks arse, him
  17. I can't see the point tbh. The flush pipe isn't cold enough for long enough to get condensation, and the cistern already has an eps jacket.
  18. It does tbh, but avoid the small angled ones that go back against the short tiled wall at 45o. They do next to nowt.
  19. Tbh, I've only ever seen one tray like this. It must be a duff batch or they're using a duff mould. Did you have to remove and re-tile each room? Sub cover the work?
  20. You really don't want the glass going to the ceiling. No way for steam to escape, plus, personally, I think it would look pants. .
  21. Just got to keep them cool.
  22. Plenty of lube and a slow geared pillar drill and I bet it would do it .
