The Build - Mission accomplished! We're in!!

That would be normal. Outer skin for show and inner skin holds the roof etc. The inner skin should stay dry and therefore no rotting roof timbers.... -

It is def a desirable place. You should be pleased. -
Ive used lots like that in Nepal, India etc - normally without the cone or seat though. Good aim is soon developed.

Fallout with builder- now I’m on drains - questions

I have exactly this as well, although with a full time job these episodes cant last long or little gets done. Its not wanting to do something (not sure how to do it or it involves hassles or its a big job) that sets me off. Once I start Im normally ok. -
Good that you are in. Always seems a bit of a rush at the end.
-
Look again - all the shower head etc are missing, so lack of screen not too much of an issue currently.
-
But continue to leave out the shower head etc? Enclosure due to go in on Friday, along with the rest of the other plumbing bits.
-
just a little something to keep @Onoff going. The result of my grouting yesterday - still a lot to do but it looks a lot better now.
-
is @Onoff doing some captive rearing now then?

yes, correct - sinks & showers have traps to stop poo smells getting into the room while toilets have their own trap - lift the lid and look into a toilet. -
stuff under the bath with insulation - for that added extra warmth.
-
Yep. All by design so thats chipper.
-
Where youve stuck that strip of tiles vertically above the shelf above where the sink is going. A pic showed you marking out for the trip before you stuck it down ready for tiling.
-
sink and bath. nice kebab?
-
no, the long length above the toilet & bath. There might be a gap that doesn't show on the pic.
-
lot less mess than mixing adhesive... did you mean to skip the grout gap under the 1st row of tiles you stuck on? It will look great when you grout - me and her in doors did out ensuite today. We are still speaking so it went well.
-
Bin, not worth the risk
-
Hi @Onoff and others, how are you planning on finishing the gap between the wall & floor? I'm lined up to grout the ensuite tomorrow and not 100% sure how to finish between the shower tray and the wall tiles. Its all tanked beneath the tiles so I'd thought of grout 1st and then over seal with some silicone - how are you planning to do between your bath and wall tiles? Cheers CC

no clutch either, so that will start straight away and it could be left going without a finger on the switch. I've used chainsaws for 30 years and I've had a chain come off - there's no way I'd be using that thing. Its a dangerous enough tool without this sort of stupidity. Madness

Thanks @PeterW. Any idea about spacing to mains cables?
-
So the sat and cat 6 cables have arrived and the plan is to install them this weekend. If they have to run in parallel to 2c&e elec cables - what is the minimum safe distance they need to be separated from the elec cable. I dont want any interference being picked up from the elec cable. I assume the sat cable can be run in a loose bundle? Likewise the cat 6 cable? Can cat 6 and sat cable be run next door to each other? Thanks in advance.

man on a galloping horse wouldn't see that. If someone turns up with a level - don't allow them in. Keep going.
-
I'd take it off and do it right.
-
@Ian can you pm me those details - we are in a similar position. Thanks.

At least youve started in good time! Pre 6am..... ?
