  1. That really is not enough. Not even sure it would meet building regs.
  2. Parents has a pub in Winslow. Was a scummy, run down place back in those days.
  3. Yes They are the ones that set fire to the wrong building in PZ I think. Twats. "An Gof was a militant Cornish nationalist group that made its presence known in December of 1980 when the organization detonated a bomb at a courthouse in the Cornish town of St. Austell. This attack was followed in January of 1981 by the firebombing of a hair salon in the Cornish town of Penzance (Apparently, the hair salon was mistaken for a bank the group wished to attack – the Bristol and West Building Society)."
  4. She may have been conned by an irritating little fart.
  5. Did you calculate your HDDs or use https://www.degreedays.net/ Dorset is pretty sunny.
  6. Yes, but I think the running costs are relatively low. That is the major selling point of nuclear. Like @SuperJohnG, I like nuclear, but the costs soon run away. The cost of decommissioning is also in the strike price, and who can tell what those will be in 60 years time.
  7. £11bn/GW. If it lasts 60 years, and generates all the time, that is 2p/kWh (I think). Strike Price was about £92.50/MWh, 9.25p/kWh. Still a good deal if I have worked it out right (for EDF).
  8. Not when the English get there. Many English people move down here, most soon move back.
  9. I think we have had the large falls in price. Normal inflationary rises can be expected, part of which is caused by energy prices. https://www.iea.org/data-and-statistics/charts/evolution-of-solar-pv-module-cost-by-data-source-1970-2020
  10. Says EDF, who owns all the nuclear generation.
  11. So lower efficiency modules then, and more expensive. Any idea how/where the wiring goes? Surely it is easier to design in PV right from the start, than try and adapt existing systems (for new build). So what are the figures Wp.m-2 and efficiency for these modules?
  12. No different from any roof intergrated system on looks really. Except you are paying for the roof covering in this case, rather than some 30 quid GSE module trays and no roof covering.
  13. What a fantastic roof. So much potential for shading.
  14. You could get one of these: 482131 Digital Pump Flow Meter Fuel Diesel Kerosene Line Pipe Counter https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KBYXDNG/ And use in conjunction with a dipstick or level gauge. Would take a few days to work out the calibration, but would be useful anyway to see daily or weekly usage.
  15. And often not a nice cube, but oval in cross section. I would have thought that the tanker guage was calibrated and had an up to date certificate.
  16. One problem with measuring volume is that the density of the liquid changes with temperature. The UK has only just started to fit temperature compensation to transport fuel pumps. Nice to know, for the same price, I get a few kWh extra energy in the winter. You may be able to get an ultrasonic flow meter, but probably expensive and not that reliable. The best way is load sensors on the feet of the storage tank. Then you can calculate from the specific energy density, correctly. We should really but fuel by the kg or MJ, not volume.
  17. I used to make log saunas, it looks like one of them. just torch it.
  18. Would it be worth putting an Ohm meter across the relay terminals and seeing what it reads. If the resistance can be established, it may indicate what sort of heating element is there. I would assume it is a fairly low powered one, 200W or something, so around 265 Ω
  19. Whose? Not sure if it is possible to do one on Trump, to the best of my knowledge he only acts like a vagina. Still, will make him a silent, irritating, little fart.
  20. Buy a small, cheap one. Go carefully.
  21. As not many companies make compressors, can it be identified. Is there a part number on it? Them maybe find some details about it on line. Maybe here.
  22. You can square, then root, the result. Still not sure what you are trying to achieve here, if I am honest.
  23. A new girlfriend for Christmas (just the week) if they have one going spare.
  24. This is what we do down here. VID_20211221_175557525.mp4
