Considering the shouting while fitting it I don’t think they’ll amount to much.

ProDave
I say well done. I would never have attempted it as I know it's beyond my skills. When the beer has gone down and you have mellowed I am sure you will agree it is a success.

If I'd have fitted that, let alone made and fitted that, I'd have been walking around with a chest like Katie Price. Go drink beer, and buy SWMBO a bottle of fizzy for being your support, in more than one way. 1 1

newhome
They look great. The greatest satisfaction comes from completing something that is difficult not the easy things in life. I hope you made it up to Faye! Deffo some TLC needed there!
Construction Channel
I know it's been a while but I have decided to go back to working on the stairs. Annoyingly I just couldn't get enough usable timber out of the elm tree to do everything but I managed to get enough for the stairs. ? I'll probably just use ash for the landing handrails.
Onoff
Brilliant just brilliant. Enough left over for a stair gate?

Construction Channel
Turns out I only needed to use ash for one handrail. But I was advised to fit the landing ones in a rather sneeky way by a joiner friend of mine. Obviously I had to cut the rail along the crease first but once back together it's almost invisible. Jeremy Harris
I like that a lot. Brilliant way to make a neat, strong joint, especially in a location like that where it would have been difficult, if not impossible, to mortice the rail to the post. Construction Channel
That's why he suggested it. There's nothing worse than hitting a dowel in and on the final hit it going loose from snapping the tennon.... And then you're in serious trouble.
