Coffeepotclaire
After many years I’m finally getting a new kitchen built which will be very contemporary but I need all the appliances. I love the look of the Miele black handless ovens but not the price tag so am now leaning towards the Siemens Studioline ovens simply because I want the build quality as well as looking sleek and modern but not extortionately expensive. I’m also going to need a 90cm wide induction hob and thought Siemens again for the same reason though if anyone has any better suggestions please say. However, my fridge, freezer and dishwasher will be integrated so could I not save money by going with a cheaper brand that is still good quality? If Bosch and neff are also part of the BSH Group does that mean they should also be decent? I don’t want to waste money where I don’t need to. nod
We went for Neff throughout as we new we would be selling One of the ovens broke after three years Everything else has been ok We have rental properties that we have put B&Q cheapies in that have lasted just as long A Skoda is made in exactly the same place as VW But it’s not a VW 😁

JohnMo
We have AEG. Whatever fridge freezer you get, watch out for space inside. The AEG ones have a decent energy rating but at the expense of being very small internally.

We’ve been to a couple of kitchen designers who seemed to think the supply chain is improving now, though when I’ve looked at the studio line ovens online they don’t ever seem to be available! 😬. I’ve got an appointment at the Siemens showroom this week so will see what they say

Bozza
We have a contemporary kitchen and went for AEG appliances that can be seen. Went with cheaper integrated appliances. We were keen to keep the budget down and couldn’t justify more expensive brands. We did keep an eye on the energy efficiency ratings and features we needed which was somewhat prophetic. Heard a few stories about expensive built in coffee machines that are never used. No problems with any of them, the zanussi dishwasher has been particularity good. As as the hotpoint washer in the utility room. in our last house we had Bosch which were certainly more expensive but didn’t cook our food any better than the AEG etc. nor wash our dishes cleaner. Etc. I also watch a Hisense telly which is better than any other bigger brand I’ve purchased. Being a long term Skoda driver, - Value, quality & features is what attracts me. No doubt the Mieles & Siemens et can look amazing if you have the budget for it. If you have a top end house and intend to sell it I do see attraction of having high end appliances as some people find that kind of thing important to them. Top tip, if you hadn’t planed on doing so put in a boiling tap. Best appliance in our kitchen by far.
Iceverge
Mix and match. Bosch fridge, induction hob and dishwashers. Electrolux oven and microwave. All fine. Zanussi dryer and washing machine. Fine too but very "beepy" when they're finished. I was a bit sceptic of differing brands but glad we did. They all match just fine in black/stainless. It made the purchasing very simple too as we took what was in stock from a local shop who beat the lowest internet quote by €200.

We went Siemens Studioline for the two ovens, both pyroltic one with microwave and steam. Availability is likely an issue. Two dishwashers Siemens, Hob is 90 cm Novy induction, actually bought from Amazon at a reasonable price. And boiling tap much better than expected. Water softener in garage also great. Ferdinand
I'm Bosch for dishwasher, washer; Liebherr for cooling things; minor brands for toaster, kettle, microwave ; Gaggia and Delonghi for coffee; Rangemaster for the range. Skoda for the car. Basically happy with all of them. I try to buy appliances not labels.

Temp
We're Bosch fans, mostly because it's easy to get parts and fix them myself. Our Bosch washer is 18 years old. Dishwasher and fridge/freezer about 16 years.
Coffeepotclaire
Thanks everyone! If I can’t get hold of the studioline ovens for next 6 months I might go for the neff n90 ones as they seem to have good reviews

PeterW
Have a look at John Lewis own brand - decent warranty and rebadged AEG which is pretty decent for the price tag. The JL pyro oven we have is the best I’ve had in a long time .
wozza
Last year we had two Siemens Studioline ovens (one pyro with microwave, one steam with Eco) and a Studioline dishwasher. We had a good price from one supplier - then found someone who gave us an even better deal (I can PM details if you want)
Happy Valley
Spend well on the oven(s) and hob. Dishwashers and fridge/freezers do not perform that differently in comparison. We went for Neff oven and microwave grill, an AEG induction hob and Hisense dishwasher and fridge freezer (both integrated)

Ah that’s interesting because I’ve just been to the Home Build show at the London Excel and whilst moaning to one of the exhibitors about the ridiculous waiting time for certain appliances , he couldn’t stop raving about the Samsung Infinity range! (Apparently they have a new range coming out at the end of the year) They do look really nice and not bad on price point. Have you had them for long? Just hear so many mixed reviews with Samsung. I was pulling towards the fisher and paykel series 9 black ovens but am now wondering if I should go for the Samsungs 🤷♀️

Coffeepotclaire
And whilst on the subject of appliances, has anyone out there got a Novy extractor? Would love some first hand feedback as every kitchen specialist I’ve spoken to including the ones I met at the Home Build Show the other day, have never heard of them! Off the back of what one of the members on here recommended, I have been researching Novy extractors because they are powerful and quiet but it’s really hard finding reviews for them. An exhibitor at the show recommended a brand called Falmec. Has anyone heard of them? He said their extractors were also very powerful and quiet. I’ve looked them up and they look great and actually very reasonable but some of the feedback isn’t that great so not sure which one to go for. The only issue we had was that the catch on the warming drawer would not hold, Samsung replaced the whole unit. They also come with a five year warranty. jonM
AEG for oven, hob and microwave. Bosch for fridge and freezer, LG for washing machine. AEG induction hob (functionality) and LG washing machine (good value / guarantee) are the pick of the bunch. Ovens were over-specified, we don't use many of the functions on them and have had to call out AEG several times to address issues. Fridge, freezer and microwave do the job. I am also a skoda driver 😃
