Build it out on the inside. I think there is scope for that if you wall is thin. I put my first one of these inside a louvred cupboard.

UK or worldwide? afaik Uk forest cover has been gradually expanding since WW1 ... by several % of land area. FC have the numbers. One example is that National Forest south of Derby which has added 200sq miles since 1995.

Personally I think I see the gas grid being capped off to new connections before long.

there is always 5x as much in it when you puncture it in your workshop by mistake.

Council being entirely reasonable. They thought they could ignore the rules do to an alleged technical constraint which they chose not to discuss when it arose. Lesson hopefully learnt.

I wonder if Matt or textured tiles would help. -

you could have a panel or whole wall done in cork tiles as a “poster wall”. Had one in my room when I was a lad. -
Local steel fabricator, or potentially aluminium veranda specialist. You imo want more than just a roof. Could the sides be in something interesting like glazed bricks, or a sheet material? F

Luxury Vinyl should be a more acoustically alternative, or I guess you could do things to your other surfaces, Would something like those fashionable faceted type wall tiles potentially help, to break up reflections? -

Do you like your kitchen sink?

Don’t ever say Franke with a W by mistake. It sticks and you do it again.- 71 replies

Do you like your kitchen sink?
Ferdinand replied to Bored Shopper's topic in Kitchen Units & Worktops
Mine is a Franke. The best point is that the order is half-sink sink drainer, which means that mucky stuff in the half sink can be done whilst stuff is draining. My favourite sinks are sit on top, whiach mean there are no joints to go manky and no oles in worktops to cut.- 71 replies

Does 20 years unopposed not establish a ROW?

I think we have been here before, and I think the Council said "do it".

imo that is already a drop kerb.

Isn’t that a plonker-meter which has gone to 100%?

Bit young for you, you randy old coot.

Consider carefully the costs vs benefits of so called ‘green insulation’. Sheep’s wool sounds nice and fluffy, but there are alternatives available which are much more insulating per unit thickness, which means that you are trading off your ability to save future C02 emissions for a trendy material now. And potentially you will need to dig bigger holes in the floor to fit it in for X level of quality, so waste, effort, fuel etc. I would suggest as a start a heat model of the( whole thing, and to include 10-25 years of energy bills and emission in your lifecycle calculations. I would try and be creative with the space. eg can you put a study Karel, a crow's nest, or a sleeping platform on top of your ensuite reached from the landing?

I think a reinforced slab, which is what these connect to (I think), is also good in tension - and is very dissimilar to a 'mortar joint'.

Can you post a larger plan segment eg with which way round your stairs are etc.
