Keep a eye on eBay for these fitting. I picked up 80x maincor 16mm mlcp to 15mm compression adaptors for £10 in a auction. I am pretty sure the maincor pipe comes out same factory as uponor which we used on every job for 15 years without 1 leak.

I am planning on using the sticky membrane supplied from the ICF manufacturer. What about using a few sheets of eps for protection just dot and dab with adhesive using the back full to keep it on place?

Has anybody used the GSE in roof solar tray in Scotland. Did you batten on top of sarking or sit tray direct onto sarking (breathable felt aswell). How close can you position to ridge and eaves? Roof is a tapco plastic slate.

Domestic rhi is projected energy usage from your EPC. This works against you if you build a low energy house! Commercial rhi is metered.

I remember boiler manufactures saying the anti freeze in solar thermal panels had to be changed at some point due to loss in efficiency, part of the the "service" was to check anti freeze.

IVT also make the worcester range of gshp, this ashp unit is maded in Japan and i think is a rebadged version of the Mitsubishi ecodan (which is regarded as best in industry). Also does cooling? patience and eBay... I will be honest there is somebody selling a broken one as well on eBay, but that wouldn't put me personally off this unit.

As above we ruled out gshp pretty early on. We picked up a cheap (western branded) ASHP & solar thermal on line and plan to fit that to a 500l thermal store. The above material is bought but haven't ruled out ditching the solar thermal and thermal store to PV & sunamp (work with ashp). The ditched material will be used elsewhere. I am not really convinced on direct e7 when you can pick up a heat pump so cheap & install diy less than £1000.

Agree with prodave. But buy wisely.... we bought a jcb 3cx and surprisingly not very good a digging, but the forks are handy.

20m easily 1 day for a decent guy. We are £375 (day) for a guy with 8t digger he also comes with a dumper a and sit on roller. I drive the dumper & roller but he can provide a driver at a extra cost. Just checked mot 1 is £13 per ton delivered, again our digger driver organised this when he needed it resulting in one zero rated vat invoice (nice and easy!)

Reason, quick Google on wbp ply and a few comments on not as good as it used to be and little water results in delaminating. I am probably over thinking this.

Just looking for a 2nd opinion. We are planning to treat the 18mm wbp plyboard with creosote. Any other paints oil would be a better option? The plyboard will have a 2 inch ventilated gap under and breathable felt with standing seem stainless steel roof above.

When we searching we found gumtree a better source than ebay for stuff local. It's very simple stuff to put up but do not underestimate the weight esp for transport. We bought a set of caster wheels to make a mobile tower which has been very handy, now the walls and door frames are in we are planning to buy 4x short 2ft8 transom (3 board wide) and cutting down the uprights to fit through from room to room. Make sure you get a few diagonal braces they make a big difference! I didn't notice any hop up brackets on the two links mentioned above, we didn't get either on initial purchase so needed to buy not a big cost though.

I am trying to remember we never provided mechanical protection when we run pipes behind plaster but that was a few years ago now. I would also bracket it every meter. We used to use galvanised banding you can get it real flush in corner.
