Quick question, what comes 1st? Board the wall then fit the staircase, or fit the staircase then board to the top of the riser? Straight stair case with full height wall either side. Oak string & mdf riser/treat.

We got a price for a similar style roof from one of the ICF suppliers who wanted to provide whole shell package. The insulation was solid but poor u values. Can't comment on noise never looked into it in more depth due to being v expensive.

1m high working platform, what options?

Open trestles are not allowed on larger sites here locally, although lot of small 2 man team builders still use them. Kwik stage a far better solution esp on wheels. -

We have the max rebar machine. It's the newest one with a lithium battery. Think we paid £500 of eBay (used).

Selfbuild, a new career pathway?

Been called a lot worse than a self build anorak? Certinaĺy a market out there for higher spec one off houses, or mbc wouldn't be in business. -
I am a big fan of the machine. Wire is more expensive which is a negative. We didn't have much wire jams in fact I can't remember any (maybe selective memory) but we only used it in dry weather I do remember somebody saying it doesn't like wet maybe that's something to do with wire slipping jamming?

Although no help we where approx £90m2 for normal.

I had a good smile/laugh to myself with this...very true!!!!!

i cant remember what tape it was the stuff from the dpm manufacturer. TBH tie wraps was fine for UFH but for the steel it didnt really bite to firm up the structure.

Lizzie, you sound like a the perfect client. Wants something different, knows what she wants and open to new build methods to achieve this! -

I have been asking the same question recently, i have really enjoyed the experience up to now. I reckon we have saved well over £600m2 over a single contractor price (like for like). One project a year, full time on project no other commitments. Could be a very comfortable salary! Anybody looking for specialised insulted raft and icf builder in Aberdeenshire?? Form a orderly que here please -
excellent. Away to get the sigma ordered.
-
This question is aimed @Nickfromwales or anybody else whith a rubi/sigma style cutter. Do they cut a rough wood grain style porcelain tile?

I think if I had more than 1 beam to lift I would seriously look at hiring a genie lift again for a week. Approx £120 Inc vat. Cracking bits of kit.
