MVHR Unit Suggestions
Eric replied to Tumble's topic in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
I installed a Vent Axia, very pleased with it. The humidity sensor worked well. Personally I don’t know why you need an app, it just runs 24/7 & you have humidity sensor & boost switch/controller. -

MVHR help water in pipes!
Eric replied to hotnuts21's topic in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
An absolute bodge as you have said. Water is probably condensation in the hoses. That type of hose shouldn’t be used, should be plastic pipe installed with flexible connections on the unit & silencers etc. I have installed a Vent Axia unit previously & was very pleased with it as with others on here. Probably best to disconnect all hoses & stop the water/condensation first. Edit. Unit in a cold attic needs to be well insulated along with the ducts. -

Doesn’t matter if you pick the best ones you can, they still go out of shape 👎🏻 -

CLS is fine for internal partitions, I would go bigger if you need space for MVHR ducts etc. -

What does it say/show on your building warrant drawings? I think I understand what you are saying but it would be better fully insulated with pir as Thorfuns photo above. -

Tiles look good, will they just fill up of dirt though?
-
I think you use a special primer/sealer on moisture resistant, I’m sure someone like Nod will keep you right.

DIY Vent Axia Sentinel Kinetic install

Welcome to the forum. That is a good unit you have got, you could insulate the pipe work, I bought oversized insulated flexible duct and put the pipe through this then laid insulation over the top. -
You will need self drilling screws to fix your brackets to the frame.

Eric replied to canalsiderenovation's topic in Doors & Door Frames
Did you ever get it wired up? -
Will it cut 100mm using the rail or are you just using a straight edge when cutting?

@Thorfun do you have a link for these recessed ones? All the plaster in ones that I have seen seem to sit proud & your ones look to be recessed perfectly. Do you have any photos while fitting them also?
