  1. I was going to get 8 ( 48v ) with a couple of spares. My interest is not to run the cooker or high load stuff its to cover the base load of the house at night mainly. For instance as sit her now TV on etc im drawing approx 400 watts. The drops to 250w ish over night. Thats what I would like to cover.
  2. Hello all, I have access to some free batteries ( 6v 100ah ) and would like to consider the chance for some sort of Solar Storage. I currently have a Solar Edge SE5000H-RW000NNN2 connected to 6.2 Kw of Panels. The inverter also connects to an immersion controller which sends spare power to an immesion heater. What sort of extra equipment do I need as Id like to cost this before talking to Electrician about installing etc to consider if this is cost effective. Many thanks in advance. Fly
  3. I have these, brilliant bit of kit. Highly recommend them.
  4. We didnt go all the way to the top on ours.
  5. Does the reading on the mixing valve match the temp of the water after the valve ? Mine was 15c and I had to take the knob off and move it a few splines to may displayed temp with actual temp.
  6. take the screw out of the centre of the white knob and move it on the splines ( pull it off the splines), You will need a temp gauge to read the temp, marry the temp to the numbers on the dial. once you have the temp down you may have to adjust the know a spline or two either way to get it more accurate. 7. Are they screwed down tight. The pins on the manifold move about 4-5mm and a 1/4 turn short on that course thread is a good mm or more. im sure ive read if the flow temp is low it goes for a 10c differential. Also are the sensors far down the pipes ?
  8. Salus actuators, clip sensor on the flow and return of each circuit and fit the actuator, wire into wiring center. let them calibrate. job done.
  9. Salus auto balancing actuators are very good and remove the flow rate lottery. Personally I found setting them on day 1 was no good for any other days. Fitted the Salus ones, significantly better and slightly faster warm up times.
  10. Im no expert, but water is lazy and will take the easiest path.I cant help thinking those feeds should really come off a buffer tank or some sort of manifold with some shunt pumps and some balancing valves. Are all those 3 manifold fed via one pipe ? As I say im no expert.
  11. I have the Honeywell Evo home, works well for me.
  12. My floor was down about 5 months before UFH came on. I set temp on UFH manifold to 20c ( after checking 20c on the dial was 20c water flow ( you can remove the knob and rotate as reqd) ). I left wall stats at 25c and increased the UFH Mainfold stat by 5c every 36 hours or so until design temp reached. You may find if you have no floor coverings you will need to raise room stats slightly as the UFH will work well on bare floors.
  13. I left my Bathroom free run a bypass so to speak, with a reduced flow rate. Not sure if that helps or complicates the matter fro you.
  14. Thats old bit of info, which they fixed a while ago. I have Heatmiser and they work great.
  15. Made a big difference to my setup.
  16. The Salus Auto actuators are very good, do all the balancing for you.
  17. Found myself in the very same position, I have done many things and am just about there. Happy to message you a phone number for a chat if that helps.
  18. if you are talking about the nut at the bottom of the 1st pic , im sure they are left hand thread if that helps.
  19. You should also check the temp markings actually match the temp flow. Mine was about 10c out and needed the knob taking off and moving round a couple of splines on the shaft.
  20. Pressure will rise slightly as the floor cures due to heat produced from curing process.
  21. I was just going to say the same.
  22. Our Solar diverts any spare power to the Immersion. We rarely have the boiler on from April until October for DHW. seems a no brainer to me.
  23. I should add my inverter packed in about 3 days after installation. Its Solar Edge equipment which according to my research is very good.
  24. 6kw system about 10 deg east of south. 35 degree roof.
  25. How far are we away from COP of 5 or more ? or is the Technology maxed already ?
