Yeah I’m not sure . Google also says white vinegar etc.

I put masking paper tape crosses over my windows to avoid them getting broken . Thought it would be easy to remove ? I’ve scrubbed , tried cif etc but as you can see the imagine of a cross remains . ?

Yeah I would of thought 20cm recess depth was plenty for both .

I found they just all bitch to the council no matter what . It really depends on the area I think . An obnoxious, arrogant, superiority complex , affluent area where I live means there will always be neighbour aggression . An area where everyone bakes cakes , loans their car , shares their partner would be much less hassle .

In a particular bedroom where I occasionally sleep with my mistress I require complete darkness at night and daylight daytime . The room is at the front of the house so spectators could get an amazing view . I don’t like this as they should pay for the privilege. So ! I was looking at a roller blackout blind for at night . One with a frame so no light bleeding around the edges . For daytime though I was thinking of a blind . Been told by a blind manufacturer that a horizontal typical blind won’t fit in the recess with the blackout blind ( recess depth around 20cm ) . Maybe a vertical blind ? . Can be angled to let daylight in but prevent perverts getting a free eye full ( unless they press their face right up to the window ) . Anyone else have these issues ? ( with blinds not potential customers )

Yeah but I like dealing with 1 tile at a time like a true pro ?

Looking at protiler website - makes my Dewalt blade look cheap Any recommendations ???
-
? That photo with my feet make it look like a giga size blade !!
-
Guess you can’t tell visually if a blades blunt . The edges certainly feel exceptionally smooth !!! 50 quid a pop these Dewalt blades !!
-
Hmmmmm I’m not sure what’s going on here . The tile lifts slightly at the end where I push it in . Like the cutter is pushing down on the tile too hard . I would of normally thought a blunt blade ; but changed this blade a few months ago . A Dewalt blade so not cheap . Perhaps a different blade ??? Any suggestions ???
-
Haven’t tried that . Means adjusting the cutter though on every pass bit of a pita . Can try it though ?
-
Not sure what you mean ? A shallow cut first ( not through the tile ) then a secondary cut ??
-
The beast has suddenly decided to crack quite a few tiles right at the end . I try holding one side or the other when putting the tile through the blade - seems to make no difference. Platform and blade seem level . Any suggestions??

Neighbors will bitch no matter what . (expletive deleted) ‘em and just do it ! . They are going to hate you before the build , during the build and after the build anyway.

Is it a daft idea to take out a glazed unit just to shift a sofa?

This is why self build is even more important. I’m sure it exists but most self builders don’t build THAT crap . At one of my planning meetings I asked why such shite is allowed to be built by developers . They didn’t respond ; so I guessed as already mentioned ; quantity over quality ; which in turn maximises the developers return .

Possible options to increase upstairs floor space?
Pocster replied to flanagaj's topic in New House & Self Build Design
@flanagaj Typical council So it has to conform with everything even though there’s an entire mix of building styles . We had exactly the same issue . Firstly ignore the fact that the neighbors will object ; (expletive deleted) ‘em My solution to this was a design that took ‘elements’ of neighbouring properties I.e a nod to them . Similar roof tiles for example to ‘ blend ‘ it better . You have a nearby house with stone . Perhaps integrate that as a feature . Of course this is really for the architect to come up with . -

Remember that classic saying “ Real men do it underground “ -

Go underground my friend . It’s the only way to get more space … -
Is that a statement about a young music fan ?

No i emailed dimensions ( with no nib ) When I went in to choose granite guy drew a sketch and put those measurements on it . He added the nib and I didn’t notice I.e ask him to add the nib depth to the overall depth . So my fault I guess . Not to worry though ! ???
