Just what you said to me last night

I need diy sos to come to my build . We would see plenty of real tears then .
-
Get a little closer . Yes that’s it .
-
Yes I know - it’s nothing to do with what you’re thinking . I use that title in the sense there’s no ‘best’ way to tile in certain circumstances- just go for it . Next week going to tile the entire ground level floor . Floor tiles ( already laid ) in bathroom and ensuite are different . So for those rooms the general rule of lining up a whole tile at the entrance makes sense . But to do an entire floor with other doorways ( same tile into those rooms ) - makes avoiding ‘skinny’ or tricky cuts impossible. My wobbly assumption is to do the whole/centred tile but off the front door - so everything is relevant to that .....

Don’t remember seeing you in the line out at the end . You know the bit where everyone pretends to cry . Then Nick Knowles looks at the camera and says something touching , then I say to the tv F off .

eBay price

Can I have his number please , I have some work for him .

Trades that rip you off certainly “ play tricks” on you . My building site is like diy sos . I’m Nick “ tiny knob “ Knowles , Billy , the others I can’t remember all rolled into one !!

Agreed . But it must crack ! . They then probably mist coat it , wait 10 mins , then paint it . I know they are pushed for time even with 300 guys onsite - but it must cause issues .
-
@BartW I went for it and bought the eBay mat . Not laid any yet but seems the same as the ditra though perhaps the plastic feels cheaper . Fleece is the same . For me that’s a saving of around 600 quid .

SWMBO had a repeat on ( fancies Nick Knowles I think ) Anyway , they skimmed an entire room “ ready for painting tomorrow “ ? I can see they have dryers in the room - but surely that almost guarantees the plaster cracking ? . You want natural slow drying yes ?? . So assuming it doesn’t crack and is bone dry next day how do they do it ? Just wondering !!

“ Nasty Nick from Wales “ that’s what they say ...

You mean a home delivery ? Not a young man lured into your trap ...

You missed out if I was doing it

trustatrader - reliability and impartial?

Yep It’s a right pain . Also all trades seem pretty much flat out . I booked my plasterer 3 months ago ! I’m reluctant to just use anyone so am chasing up a recommendation. -
Do I need to tank my en suit floor?
Pocster replied to Ben100's topic in Bathrooms, Ensuites & Wetrooms
I didn’t . I assume it doesn’t need to be waterproof as outside the tray . I would recommend a decoupling Mat . Then you use flexible tile adhesive on that and flexible grout . -

In my experience pot luck A builder who looked into checkatrade said it was a joke . my advice - simply get a recommendation from someone you know for a trade you need . I’ve done this a few times now and though sometimes less than perfect it’s usually pretty good workmanship -
@Onoff perhaps ... if you can find them you could hire the Pocster-Team “ I love it when a plan f ups “ ” shut it fool ! - just paint the wall “

You need to re read my cracked spray paint thread again for an adrenaline rush !!

In 2021 a crack diy unit was sent to prison by planning committee for a crime they didn't commit. This man promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Bristol underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a soldier of screw ups. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire the Pocster-Team.

I ‘s the master mo fo bruv’s !

Watery emulsion again ( just for luck ); applied with roller . Hot today . Touch dry in 10 mins . So 30 mins later go for Mat vinyl with roller . Not looking too bad at all ! . Hard to judge properly as drying out - tomorrow will be the true test of my method

Gently removed loose paint with a blunt chisel around another window . Gently sanded the paint ‘edges’ to ‘blend’ it into the plaster . Can feel the edge though ( always assume if I can’t feel it then it’s good enough ) Will wipe down to remove dust . Then roller water downed coat of the vinyl mat ...
