  1. I remember that every time I post
  2. The fixings I’ve ordered look stainless steel . But when I drill the concrete with the stringer in situ bound to catch the coating around the hole . If I do that and some powder coating comes off - what should I repair the chips with ?
  3. Powder coated I think it does have fixing holes . Fixing that lip isn’t an issue . Be nice to have some lips for the stringer to sit on whilst it’s fixed . As it stands the stringer has to be supported at the high end while it’s bolted to the wall lip .
  4. Lead in my pipe doesn’t need replacing
  5. Nah ! He needs practice on that also .
  6. Tile the (expletive deleted)ing shed and get it right this time ?
  7. My Dewalt pocket squirrel knife is the best !

  9. I see . That’s probably something I should consider ! . Can you not fit some kind of filter between freezer and water supply ?
  10. Plumbing’s easy peasy with Hep2o - even I do it leak free ?
  11. Anyone that has an ice maker in their fridge is a God . The clunk , clunk sound of ice into that G n T glass . Obviously we’re getting one . ?
  12. Record all conversations!!!
  13. Think @Onoff needs help . He’s (expletive deleted)ing about again creating work but never actually doing the work .
  14. Anyway @Nickfromwales what’s a plumber doing commenting on electrics ? . You on checkAtrade doing that ? ?
  15. Balls - can’t undo post
  16. 120mm m12 anchor bolts ordered ( found some new cheap ones on eBay - Fischer still ) . Steel square washers ordered also .
  17. I’m surprised tbh . Surely the sparky should mark the L from the consumer I.e power in ( if you like ) as opposed to L to the lights ( as they aren’t live until L + L ) . Just seems an easy thing to mark when installing .
  18. Yeah they’re neutral . So if say I stick a wago in there , tie those 2 blues together then add a 3rd to go to the z wave wall switch controller I’m all good ?
  19. Yeah I know , I know . I am actually colour blind so can’t tell anyway … ?
  20. Ok boss ( I think that’s what the midget guy said in fantasy island ) . Does the relay switch thing need a neutral though ( to power it ) z wave
  21. How the (expletive deleted) can you be bored . I’ll help you with a to do list …. Bathroom ufh Boxing in boiler Bathroom rotating magic shower head Glory hole doorbell thing (expletive deleted) the (expletive deleted)ing shed and finish those jobs you idle (expletive deleted)
  22. Ok. So one of those brown is Live so goes to L. I'll stick a meter on it and find out. I'm surprised the electrician did both wires in Brown...... But hasn't he tied the neutrals together ( in the box recess you can see the bound blues ).
  23. I assumed it would be ridged like a steel lintel . Bends like a boy ! . Hope it doesn’t snap ? The wall lip fixing has to go up first . For reason unknown it doesn’t support the stringer . That would of been really helpful ! But I’ll use some acro’s to position the stringer as I have to lower it into the pit . My internal doors have just turned up - so I can avoid this task for now ?
  24. What is surprising is the lack of fixing holes along the stringer . Though not fully unpacked I can see just 2 at the top . Nothing along it , then 2 for the base plate to the floor . Would of been happier with a few holes along the stringer ? Especially as when I pick it up it bends ….
