  1. You'd need a valid reason...just 'coz I haven't got one doesn't come into it! Don't get too excited as my ADHD will likely soon kick in & it'll get put to one side!
  2. Batch drilling the arms: The 15mm long, 8mm dia spacers fitted beautifully in 8mm holes but they were for M4 bolts. I decided to up the pivot shaft size to M5. The 15mm long, 10mm dia spacers are a PIG to get in 10mm holes! Pressed a couple in with the vice but had to lightly csk the box. Might open to 10.2mm. But it'll work:
  3. Thought you were going to say the house had been blown away with the dish on it!
  4. If I come out of the bathroom it means I have to talk to SWMBO! Tbh I shall probably move to doing the roof next as she's not good with heights. She was placated somewhat tonight. Had a bath and I put Meatloaf's greatest hits through the Bluetooth speakers for her. She didn't want "any of my rubbish on" as she puts it.
  5. What about if you took photos or a video even of the trench say with a tape measure held to show depth?
  6. Starting the Ash..., Faye looks totally at home handing large equipment...
  7. Something then like this: Got as far as cutting the box sections: It was meant to be a zero spend project but rather than make I bought some 15mm long nylon spacers for the pivot points: And then splashed out on some end caps for the box section. Spent about a tenner so far. Drilling next!
  8. Powered by Lancaster Bomber we're starting the scissor lift!
  9. One of the pungent all in one's? Five Star maybe? I've been using this of late being on the cheap seats. Smells like it should work: https://www.toolstation.com/shop/Painting+%26+Decorating/d150/Exterior+Wood+Care/sd3176/Lumberjack+Triple+Action+Wood+Treatment+5L/p34502
  10. I doubt much will be done today! What a cracking drop Lancaster Bomber is!
  11. Seriously as a straight bloke and a sucker for a brunette, she ticks EVERY box!
  12. It'd be perfectly positioned for viewing from the bath.
  13. Nah! About a grand for an industrial /wash down one. Tbh if it ever happens I can mount it off the ceiling. http://hopeindustrial.co.uk/um23_universal_mount_industrial_monitor.htm
  14. X marks the obvious place for a telly / monitor...
  15. This then I assume is no good to incorporate in a home brew MVHR? Edit: Way off I think. First time delving into Part F it says something on the lines of 29 l/s for a 5 bed house. This unit I think is 180 l/s !!!
  16. Can you convert a thread to a blog? A "mate" of mine was asking...
  17. I reckon a 400mm disc so you could cut +150mm thick. How to sharpen then a say 2mm thick disc?
  18. I just tried (on the quiet ) a cheapo pizza wheel on a bit of 25mm pir. Cuts it like a dream! You need to ideally push the blade against the non foiled end like in the video. Pushing the blade into the foiled face and there's some resistance. I wonder how thick a say 300mm dia blade would need to be to remain rigid whilst offering as little resistance as possible? Scale it up and job done!
  19. Bullet Tools who make the manual, push cutter bench in the video do some rather interesting blades: https://www.bullettools.com/blades/ Ref the circular saw blades they do 10" (254mm) and 7.25"(184mm) 15.875mm ones. But the 0.625" bore is 15.875mm. My Evolution 185mm circular saw has a 16mm bore so guessing the American one wouldn't fit? They appear to also do a similar hand saw to the one @PeterStarck was given to cut his icynene. I couldn't find the push cutter in the video on the site, mind I am waiting for the Neurofen to kick in!
  20. It's finding a pizza wheel that big that's the problem!
  21. From the Kyoto Dangerous Toy & Lawnmower Company...
  22. Whoa!!!! Speakers are seriously bassy but in a good way. The play list tonight included: Michael Mind Project - Anti Heroes Christina Novelli - Concrete Angel Linkin Park - Feint Flip & Full -Shooting Star Nadia Ali - Rapture Deadmau5 etc Interesting how the foil on the PIR blocks the Bluetooth. You have to be in the bathroom with the phone.
  23. Picture 11 of 12 gives a CJ... code:a) Chinese trade standard: CJ/T108, CJ/T159, CJ/T111
  24. Nasty, rainy day so fiddling about! 25mm galv conduits in for the pocket lights. MORE vcl penetrations! They'll go into 50mm galv trunking across the joists which will keep them safe from Roland/Tufty: Did these now as the galv trunking will have to go in THEN the new soil pipe run to the right: The plug on the leads fits up nicely: Should make replacing them a breeze. (I've actually just ordered a second set of the blue lights I'm using): One (132mm dia) Bluetooth speaker hole cut. The other one is above the bath so I'm leaving that until I'm a) sober & b) have protected the bath! I really must make some space to work INSIDE!
