The little key in the pump was worn and not engaging. Roughly 9.5x3x2. Rang the BiL and asked if he had any. He said no, he usually makes them out of the end of a file. So I did (Draper). Quick job in the dark outside with a Fakita grinder, head torch out on the patio and a damaged pinky from the tree felling Not perfect but it seems to work.

Got in yesterday and happened to say it felt a bit cold. "Oh yes, it was warm this morning but not as warm as it usually is!" said SWMBO. That plus she thought she could "smell oil" by the boiler. Oil boiler was starting then locking out, the 90-120 Riello RDB2 burner. Checked the cap, first, AOK. Photocell clean, solenoid ok. Plenty of oil. Traced to the pump. Chucked a pressure gauge on and zilch. Took the pump off and rotating the shaft it felt a bit gritty. Somehow I found what appeared to be a brand new pump sat in the garage! Chucked it on, set to 8bar and happy days! Last night everything working. Just came in today from a day's tree felling and and the bloody thing is locking out again.

I got all my gate gear from here: https://www.easygates.co.uk/ -
I've definitely got rising moisture. The substrate aka felt is totally shot. Mind the other side is worse, I've just slung a bit of weighted down DPM over the whole lot.
-
The paint on one I used last I'm sure used to say can be applied to damp surfaces. They've I think changed the can wording to on the lines it can be but better if the substrate is dry.

I've used most of the grey, acrylic, single pack repair paints. Cromapol, Flexacryl, Acrypol, Evercryl etc. All much of a muchness.

That fence shows just what can be done with old pallets 👍

3 pages, will only link so it opens on page 2?

Not me. I used single pack, paint on Chromapol. Tbh I've thrown probably several hundred Pounds at this over the years. The felt roof was knackered before I put this paint on. It's fibrous, the idea it reinforces itself. I'd be interested to see how it performed on say a new, OSB sheeted roof. The stuff I'm considering when I redo the roof is Desmopol. As used successfully by someone. I asked the other week how it was standing up. Wait one and I'll find the thread.

What's bridge mode?

+1. It ate into my UPS pretty damn quick compared to the old BT router. It was cold outside so I guess it was heating the dish to keep the frost/ice off.

The first Starlink we installed at Christmas crapped out. My son called them on a Weds night. A guy called back from Starlink in the US pretty much as my lad hit send on the email. Customer service was amazing. Complete new kit arrived on the Friday morning. By way of apology they gave us a month's free subscription. Sent the old router and dish back on prepaid DHL. They said to hang onto the new long cable (circa £80 worth). Then the other week it just "stopped" a quick phone calll and they fixed it there and then. Price has come down massively since Christmas. You can also rent, about a tenner a month rental plus the £75pcm.

Honestly that sealer above will really bring it to life. There's an Evanescence joke there somewhere...

The bricks on my gate pillars were showing some effervescence as well as spots of mortar etc. This after a clean with brick acid and spray application of this stuff. Still looks like this and nothing has come through: Before & after:

Brick acid as above. The concrete sealer your side only. Should push the issue next door.
