ok, distance from floor to top of bathrom wall and thickness of bathroom wall extending out
-
do you know who the manufacturer is?
-
that was a quarter landing not a quarter turn, your first post almost had the the quarter turn but was missing the last tapered tread
-
is it not possible to put a full quarter turn at the top?
-
ahh, with your reply, ithought that the pic showed it with the floor as original prior to joist being removed above bathroom. 1m will be fine, as long as you say, the window allows the required headroom
-
it doesn't look as though you're going to have sufficient depth of landing
-
if you can get that option to meet regs then it would be ideal. i thought you were constrained due to number of steps and rise. building up on top of the bathroom wall and creating the landing will also look better than the double winder
-
i would agree with that depending on joist depth, does that meet stair regs?

for min movement and stability it has to be HDF, when it come to scribing the internal cornes it's horrible as it's so friable

sorry, btw welome!

only heat it when occupied and, as much as i dislike it, radiant heating if short duration
-
perhaps not, however, would suggest you do, i would, even if it just to get rid of the mortar. it would certainly look neater.
-
connections and stability will be down to the tying of the inner and outer leaf together. you are cutting out a piece of wall and the inner and outer leaf will need tying together by resin anchors probably in a closer spacing than wall ties would have been.

got ours from SIG roofing, great price and service

Why are there no surveyor's in Scotland?
Simplysimon replied to SuperJohnG's topic in New House & Structural Warranties
seriously? who do you think does all the surveys for house sales? i think shepherds and graham & sibbald, two of the biggest in the area, may argue the point. -

lots of people have a qualification, unfortunately that doesn't mean they are at the top of their game, nor even competent in that profession.- 38 replies
