  1. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-64572999.html Here’s a two bed with moderately nice bathrooms, you southerners will wince at the £500k price tag though...
  2. In an old friends mothers house, it was what we call a mansion up a close. It was pretty much Victorian original, they had a bathroom. in the middle of a big room there was a GIANT bath with giant taps that came out of the floor. The bath was in the middle of the room oriented corner to corner but you could socially distance four slaves (servants) around it. They were the kings of luxury. Big Alan the bouncer asked the lady of the house if he could use it. Yes, towels in the (fitted) cupboard and afterwards he said it’s the only bath he could float in without touching the sides and he wasn’t called Big Al for nothing
  3. Read the link above Dave, explains it all BTW American public toilets are weird, in the stalls, doors start at knee height and finish at shoulder height and the gap between door jamb and at the fastening side is a good half inch, it’s almost if they design in a lack of privacy
  4. DIY it David the forum will keep you right ?
  5. Welcome @sidekickdmr love your hut it’s lovely interior and well just everything great job
  6. Okay so have now investigated the American option of a siphonic toilet, read about this v European systems here https://toiletfound.com/siphonic-vs-washdown-toilet-which-is-better/ Ruled out due to small bore in the waste department Final lingering thought...why have we never ever seen a toilet shop which actually has the feckers plumbed in! I did once see a bath filled with blue water but H&S demanded it had a metal grill over it...toddler guard I guess
  7. You just have to send a picture now! I once stayed in a grand country house and the WC off of the billiard room had a bespoke toilet that was huge Also had a oak seat hinged and attached to the wall, everything about it was ornate, carved and very grand In village near Glendaruel on the Mull of Kintyre I recall
  8. Does the capacity of the pan have to equal the capacity of the cistern...otherwise with a complete block we have overflow?
  9. Hello @Nickfromwales not seen you around, hope ye are all well. i have a client with autism who is regularly blocking the WC and we think she may be excessively wiping and putting LOTS of toilet paper down before flushing. I know there are volume of water regs and in England you have water meters, this is not an issue in this circumstance I can’t find a bigger flush toilet even in the disabled listings would a raised cistern create more ‘push’ what’s the collective opinion? As with all of my clients, money is tight and if it’s ££££ no chance of that happening Second question, would the run of the 110 waste pipe work in any way cause/ stop pan blocking?
  10. Almost there @Temp
  11. Hmmmm front of the class and new glasses for you... Must pay attention
  12. Incidentally a single shoe can be referred to as a neighbour...
  13. @Temp come and sit at the front of the class, must try harder
  14. Nope but nice working out bronze star awarded
  15. Silver star for the first correct answer
  16. Interesting... double wall them and have UFH and it’ll be like a a Roman villa but probably very very expensive Ask @Brickie and @Brickforce69
  17. Had to look that up? Read The F*cuking Manual
  18. Asking for a friend, the local community volunteers have a 6 month lease on what until a month or so ago was a branch of the Clydesdale Bank. They have the lights, hot water and toilets working but not the heating. It’s vents in the ceiling and there’s no plant to be seen so assume it’s all above the suspended ceiling. some pictures that wise folk might be able to decipher @Nickfromwales @Onoff @PeterW @ProDave
  19. Great looking building hope you enjoy it. has it got those mini toilets you sometimes get for little people in schools ??
  20. Nah...you’ve just copied some pictures from a magazine or a holiday website?
  21. It’s in the wrong place and where I want the hard wire to go means up into the loft and down into the room with the router and server. some say just run a telephone extension from the socket to the new location. It’s literally next door but the wall is 600mm thick so to route through an already made passage it’s about 4/5m of cable run. Dont care much what it looks as it’s my charity working office but question is... run extension or splice/join the incoming BT cable and move the master socket. It’s a series 5 socket I believe needs to be complete by Friday so no option of calling Openreach. If you know what cable do I need and where to buy it easily for Friday? Thanks folks
  22. Welcome Puff the magic...
  23. To me this is the pose of a happy man admiringly contemplating his reward for making a good job complete, just like our famous @Onoff and @pocster with a little Teutonic swell from @retiredacademic
