It’s corrugated and copper is quite soft so it can be bent by hand and remain at that bend rather than be “rubbery”
-
Welcome to THE building forum, bring on the questions
-
I don’t think so, the other flexi,s are rubber tube inside protective mesh and from my experience it’s the rubber or rubber join that fails. These are corrugated copper.
-
Anyone used these (I haven’t). https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flexible-Bendable-Copper-Plumbing-Stick/dp/B01LBHR2LU/ref=sr_1_5?crid=27L6GIFS0EC4C&keywords=flexible+copper+pipe+15mm&qid=1705948803&sprefix=Flexible+copper+pipe%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-5

Yes sorry, very un PC of me 🙄

With my build I wanted induction but was overruled so had to install gas bottles and pipe work etc 🤯

Welcome, +1 the controller for the DHW / ASHP needs tweaking (mine was on 24/7 but only as required driven by the tank stat). Of course you need a double garage, all men do, gives you an excuse to buy cars that DO need a garage.
-
I too have had them fail and would not used them again.

My ex wife choose an expensive paint for our last house, it was very near magnolia which was a quarter of the price so I used magnolia and she never noticed the difference 🤣.
-
Yes I think you are correct, I ran my DHW at 48’ and found it fine for all usage but I had a larger DHW tank as blending with cold water was much less. I had a buffer but borderline on being a requirement, however it gave me the chance to instal an immersion for the UFH in case the ASHP or pump etc failed as a short term measure. Siting the DHW tank as central as possible and shortest pipe runs and some in 10mm pipe means less wastage of water and time (=money).

Which is/was tarmac.

A more simple approach to dhw this thread is about DHW.

But only to take up the slack, don’t pull the rod out of the hole/resin 🤷‍♂️

Anyone done their own building regs plans

If you have your BCO on side then do it yourself. I did my own for a full build but got an architect to draw it up on CAD (as I still use paper and pencil 🙄) and frankly he made mistakes I had to correct. Your BCO will help, as mine did. -
+1 to resin but make sure all dust is removed from the hole.

What's more important for comfort U value or 'thermal mass'

I do think that there are so many variables (construction, orientation, ground conditions, etc etc) that no one answer is correct for every situation. -
Which is more expensive DG glass or wood ?
joe90 replied to Post and beam's topic in Windows & Glazing
I agree, the bottom panels in wood look better, but not at that cost eh? -
I would have thought the underfelt would have dealt with that, that’s what I did with my workshop roof and no condensation.
-
Not always, my box roofing on my workshop had fixings in the trough as specified (they are not long enough elsewhere) and had rubber sealing washers. I agree that the old nail through fixings for corrugated roofing were used at the peaks.
