Looks awfully simliar to this method of construction, just with the added void (of which I like the idea). Not dismissing what the gentleman has done, but the applicability maybe limited, unless extensive (not cheap) testing takes place to make it an acceptabel method for building in the UK (separate testing for England and Wales vs Scotland?)

Those two screws are likely a clamp holding the cables in place. Remove those first. You should then see copper internals of the cable held in place however Hotpoint do it, hopefully simple some more screws

It will depend on the inspector. And which new rule they read about yesterday. Has this inspector been out to you before? What were they like that time?

Your tiling the wall and putting a vanity unit in front of it. I think you've got it covered 😀 Seriously, I think you'll be OK with plywood and tiles. Prime and/or seal the plywood before tiling. You could always put a couple of coats of tanking before tiling to be sure, to be sure.

Apart from someone missing the pan, what is the chance of that getting splashed? Plywood should he fine IMHO

The glulam beam sits proud of the finished floor, as an architectural feature. The channel will sit directly on the glulam beam.

Just got around to ordering the internal balustrade that we need. Sod's Law has dictated that the Fischer screws listed in their certification document (Fisher FPF-WT YZP) are no longer available. Does anyone know what the logical Fischer replacement for these would be?

Maybe. I have two of them and have measured both, each across two diameters, so I think they're pretty much round. NOTE: the invoice lists both as 600mm. For now I am assuming that they are classified as 600mm. Its a bit like when you buy wood - nominal vs actual size 😀

More sleuth work has found two unaccounted invoices (yay for the VAT). Interesting thing is that the chambers are listed as 600mm !!!

My groundworker has suggested reducing the diameter of the two large inspection chambers which will be in our rear garden down to 450 or 300mm. So, I've been looking for a "reducer". The current twinwall chamber pipes that are in the ground measure about 680mm internal and 700mm external. I can't lay my hands on an invoice for said inspection chambers (one that won't be on the VAT reclaim!) The largest reducer I can find online is 600mm (to various smaller sizes). As part of railtrack inspection, fit a sprinkler system and air dryer under the relevant wagon and clean the panels as they inspect the track. Too obvious? Probably

Or the owners lose all tax exemptions they are eligible for, or pay a yearly fine/tax for non-installation payable per m2 3. Every single car park in the country to have "car ports" installed. Similar fine/tax situation as per 2. 4. Warehouse walls - vertical panels for improved winter generation. Possible tax incentive for this. 5. Vertical panels along motorways, dual carriageways and railway lines 6. Farmers to receive subsidies for installing on barn roofs and vertical panel at edges of fields (@JohnMo) I have seen articles, but not researched their voracity, about the solar panels on agricultural land being installed on higher frames allowing crop growth to continue. The story headlines imply an improvement in crop yield. As I say not sure of the truth of the story.

What did the builder work from when installing the ICF? The architects plans? I presume the ICF manufacturer only provides a series of installation guides (PDF or Video). The things I've mentioned are all that I had when we did our ICF walls, and some help on a couple of days when starting and during concrete pours
