Mine was left exposed for about five weeks I also covered with Visqueen as it was Boxing Day when myself and my wife boarded nailed and glued it When I un sheeted it it was very dry Pretty resilient stuff -

Jaffa tape is as good as anything that I’ve ever used I use it for masking up for external render We stick sheeting onto masonry It often exposed to the elements for a week Fiver a roll
-
I’ve an apprentice plaster works for us that’s been with us and collage for two years While his work is ok He needs to build up some speed Pretty similar with most trades These courses are a good grounding for someone who is renovating or hoping to get into renovating property’s You’ve got your CSCS and some great advise from Dec

From memory it was interlocking blocks of insulation with grooves in them for the pipes to click flush I laid a ditra matting over it and tiled as normal All ran to two manifolds
-
We have a neighbour that has used the same system that John has suggested 50 mil build up 120m2 I tiled it for him with porcelain plank tiles The same as our own It heats up and functions just the same as ours Ours was laid on 150 insulation and 75 mil screed I was really impressed with with the retro fit system and wouldn’t consider digging floors up

Sealant and K tend don’t go together Better to seal frames before render -

The Brickies will bed the wall plates But they will need to be jointed first Build upto to chamber Joiner Will position the joists Then board out or temporary board Then the Brickies will build them in as they go up Better to have the joists on site in advance as you have no way of knowing how quick the Brickies will get on Couple of weeks of dry weather and your job will fly and they won’t want to hang around Heads and cils some build in some after I chose to build in and project Brickies and other trades are usually pretty careful Scaffolders don’t But they need to go in before it comes down Team talk before it comes down may help Or a preyer -

You can stick it down with Ardex Just make sure the flooring is solid and clean We hardly ever use backer on floors now I wouldn’t use the six mill on anything of any size
-
Your better using Ditra matting or dura no screws Better job

Now that the nights and days are colder we are using the UFH This time last year we had just moved into a empty cold house so we left it on the factory settings and went with the flo We would be interested to what temperature you guys are running yours at Or weather you are timing or adjusting manually through the day
-
You can fix on Framing or simply Dot and dab They are great for D&D as they are so ridged We often DD 120 mil insulated boards on exposed gables Or onto Gypliner on single skin masonry

Insulated PB If you can afford the cost and loose a little bit off each room Regardless of what you have in the cavity you will not get a warmer feeling room than with insulated PB In my business I use miles of the stuff When everything is painted out you only have to put your hand on the wall or ceiling to tell the difference Even in a un heated building you can immediately tell which rooms have insulted PB

There is a real issue with mortgage companies wanting these bits of paper The build warrantee one of the biggest scams We took a SW out as we thought we would have trouble selling in the first ten years Bit on the final inspection One of three ten minute inspections over the course of the build He wouldn't cover the fibre glass flat roof without a certificate of insurance from the installer ME Regarding your tanking certificate I had a similar experience five years ago with a basement I Tanked But like you I had no certificate to produce I contacted the supplier and they suggested coming out to see the job as it unfolded and certify it as a first of three in order to get a cert I’d completed the job and taken loads of photos They helped me out and issued a cert I’ve done two since They where done in a similar fashion with a rep visiting one From memory the certs where about £250 plus vat You would have the advantage over me in that you haven’t started and any inspection could be carried out I know TP Offer a tanking system where you can self certificate But you have to pay for a two day course But with tanking it yourself at least you can be sure it’s done right I would approach with the line that it’s going to be the first of many There all driven by sales

We are in the NW of England Our build was 284 plus two detached garages The charge would have been 13 k had we not had the Cil exemption Costs seem to vary
-
I did exactly the same as you For the same reason
-
We have two garage on our submission Fortunately it doesn’t Eder the Cil on a new build If it had I would have built the afterwards 16k is a lot of money
-
Really annoying I’ve noticed a lot of the mainstream builders include the garage as part of the house size
