Half of those would be same as now I used to take my panel saws to Berry’s at Leyland to get them sharpened £2 each Now they will sell you two says for £8 I can still remember rendering a gable using sky hooks Brick Knocked out for each one Then hooked into the cavity patched in as you moved down A couple of planks standing between you and serious inquires Hardly any site HSE back then -
You would need to check yourself with HMRC I’ve been renovating a factory for the past year half is 20% The other half is 5 % Ive been in business for 35 years now and still get caught out

We are very airtight Doors and windows are open all the time Even in winter It would be nice to have a means of cooling the house -
Yes When using matting always do the levelling before the matting goes down
-
You can use tile adhesive But let it set before you put your 5 mil adhesive down for your Ditra Ardex for the ply

Thanks While we decided against for our build The next one has no access to gas I didn’t fancy going down the route of oil filled So it seems a no brainier But we do like the UFH 158m2 ground floor Even with gas it’s remarkably cheap to run -

Do you guys with MVRH have UFH Or is there no need -
Quite rare to see pipes chased in onsite nowadays Even gas pipes are on the surface and saved over They say it weakens the block work When we used to wet plaster or use projection Everything was chased in
-
If your using a solid construction You can run the wiring on the surface following safe zones on the surface of the block or brick The pipe work can also be run on the surface If you are using dot and dab as a posed to wet plaster the gas pipe needs to be fully covered with drywall adhesive To prevent any gas leaking behind the boards

socket in back wall of stud containing toilet cistern

Quite common to see a toilet system installed in a stud I installed three of our four within the stud -
I think they are all much of a muchness We used Protec as it was easy to add an extra three months or so at a later date We had a couple of good quotes but they where vague about extending part year

BC tend to be more keen on the correct gap between spindles Our Architect has made a blunder The stair manufacturers picked it up and asked me to recheck my measure against the Architects drawing They removed a step BC didn’t seem to mind

Could I just add that my friend with the joinery shop who makes marvellous Gates frames etc Has redone his facias and soffits in wood grain He just said they don’t look much different than timber painted grey When I last visited him he was making some elaborate oak gates and a carport Gates will end up over 20 k Carport over 60 k I commented that they will last forever He said the gates May still twist But these people will just order a new set
-
To be fair unless you are single story It would be difficult to tell timber and grained UPVC apart Heritage where against using UPVC but agreed that they couldn’t tell the difference from 5 to 7 mtrs below I’ve done the up the ladder each year thing and didn’t fancy doing it again I used oak on the porch and Idigbo on the gates Planners where happy with this Next door used hardwood on all there sash windows and doors Also there Orangery roof Ten years on all need replacing
-
We are under conservation Our planning said timber sag windows Timber facias and soffits We changed for the same reason as you GAP plastics have a good range of grained pvc that looks like wood
-
Yeah that’s fine It was a fiver a roll when it first appeared back in 1990
