  1. In fairness the guy that did my drawings was fantastic.
  2. My favourite is when they charge a project management fee.
  3. Never worked on icf but I have had to get around rebar before. Milwaukee make an sds that supposedly goes through rebar. Only difference I can see is it has 4 cutters on the top but they still bind a lot until they get through it. If it were me and I had already suffered all your defeats I would resign to stitch drilling as deep as I can. Break out what you can with a cold chisel / sds +chisel if you can get it in. Then try to work around the rebar(s) and past them. Then finally cut the bars with a reciprocating saw once you can get the blade past them.
  4. With the straightest face I can muster. The best tool to find them is probably the drill...
  5. I don't trust it personally but I have seen these advertised a lot recently. https://store.walabot.com/uk/walabot-diy-pack.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw8NfrBRA7EiwAfiVJpe2tP-2SEbkl9nlLGhyHUj265gPkWNV3yb4W1_ZWB1doF5FbXh-WOhoCdIMQAvD_BwE
  6. Tell me about it. Iv had to pay labour recently for help with the plastering and it just disgusts me.
  7. Cap the bottom. Fill it to the brim and see if the water level drops over night.
  8. Easily accessible ? Raquel Welch Sexy Busty Fur Bikini One Million Years B.C. Color 24x36inch (60x91cm) Poster https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MCQQFBO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_q92BDb9G7VXD5
  9. Red diesil's cheap
  10. it was only a matter of time.
  11. might as well try, but thats a lot cheaper than my connection so think yourself lucky. ? also I'm sure you already have but just check the paperwork to make sure they haven't automatically added a sewerage infrastructure cost. they did for mine but happily refunded the nearly £500 when i brought it up
  12. Pure speculation here. But underneath most metal sinks there is a pad stuck to it. I was told this is to deaden the sound if the tap drips. Would sticking a "pad" on the underside of the bends help at all?
  13. Not so much reccomending. More trying to flog to. ?
  14. Did he recently sell a box of tools for £1?
  15. I'm with Onoff. Fit them in anything but white. We all know what they are. Im 32 and am creating a seat in our shower for a similar reason. I wouldn't give it too many years before I need a handle to get off said seat. Just try to make it look less sterile.
  16. I dont know. But what do we know? They are shaped like pliers so probably for holding or squeezing something. The holes in the grippy bit are serrated so possibly for turning something or stopping something turning. The holes are the same size so I doubt they are for crimping. Only thing I can think of it to apply different amounts of pressure. Unless there is an industry that needs three strands to be held apart and stopped from twisting....... Pre insulation days..... My guess is some kind of electricians tool. Probably best just used as a nut cracker so Dave wins
  17. I love the way you avoided the actual thickness of it
  18. In fairness I have never worked on icf and Russell's picture does make it look a lot easier than I was thinking. I assumed there would be a lot more shuttering to mess about with and may have forgot you will be pouring the whole thing anyway ?
  19. I'm sceptical of this. Every tool I found when looking about a year ago was a lot more than that. Sounds too good to be true....
  20. Afraid I'm with Peter and can't imagine why you would want to make your own lintols. That said the tool depends on the wire. The one with a hook is for use on premade lengths of wire with loops on either end. Generally called a potato sack tier round here. The ones with the pliers on the end are for use on just plain wire you buy on a roll.
  21. Iv found if they don't come out easily put it back in the driver and thump it into a bit of wood a few times.
  22. Iv heard the term "the drivers just for taking them out" But have you really just hammered in 2.5k screws for the last 2 days?
  23. ?I did see that while searching... It must be a typo.... Surely......
