  1. Compression and don't overtighten.
  2. You 'should' test at the operating pressure of the PRV ( for later when you convert ) which is 3.5bar. . Thats the most it would see if for e.g. you knocked the fill loop tap and it crept up to mains pressure. Worst case is best practice.
  3. They tend to 'work' themselves off over time with fluctuations in temp / pressure. Should be ok for a temp run if you can emery cloth the ends a little ?
  4. Basically, yes. Glue the first 100mm then stitch it as you go, gluing and spraying accordingly until you get to the end. Don't try and do the whole thing in one go . Remeber to use either a mix of curved / quadrant trim at the horizontal and then square edge for the drops from corners where two quads make a corner and you need to drop a trim down ( each front corner of the batt for eg ). That combination removes the '3-way dagger' issue you'll get when forming these corners if you used all quad trims. 2 quads cut to form a 90 leave a perfectly square, sharp corner. Bringing a quad up to meet that is a marriage made of hell ( like say if Donald and Hilary had a baby ).
  5. Da iawn.
  6. You'll thank her when you come to the bath surround with all its complex angles. ?
  7. I'm going to try and buy this one. Comes with a monitor too so bargain afaic ? What is required to up it to 2133 mega shnortels ? £50 to get to 16gb sounds good, but my boy says the graphics card is shat and will 'need' upgrading come birthday time. ??
  8. Tell him I said hi
  9. x2 What about this bad boy? Complete with GCU too
  10. Cheers. First machine is #1 choice at the mo. But...... This is is on Gumtree at the moment. Sounds a lot for the money but how does it compare to the i7 chip? Ill buy you beer ? I promise.
  11. Beams straight onto the blocks / pads, and same for the blocks. You can get mesh tacked on if you want, for longer beams but not necessary in most cases.
  12. @Bitpipe Hugh, did Smiffy fit the same USB sockets for you ( not plug socket integrated but stand alone ones ) as he did for Greg? These had an integrated switch which only energised the transformer when an USB plug was fully inserted. Whats the general consensus with the vampire load on these cheap ones ( socket USB duos ) as I can't recall seeing one specifically mention if the transformer is constantly energised OR NOT? A house full of these may add up but I won't shit the bed over it that's for sure. Exactamundo squire. . The dustbin lids constantly disappear with ours, and it drives me nuts. I've promoted / fitted these on the last couple of kitchen fits and folk are raving over them. Less clutter and more convenience. Try to keep up old boy
  13. "During the war, Rodney"...........
  14. The screws aren't 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock
  15. ........."HEPWORTH!!!!" Top stuff. Go for the brass ones IMO.
  16. The good old days..... I can't talk though, my dad always followed technology and my brother and I always had the best of whatever was about at the time ( BBC A upgrade + Opus Challenger 3 in 1 Double sided Double density disc drive ) and a light pen ?. I put a board full of 256 EPROMs in it so my games were stored on memory which made me a god, even the computer teacher came to me for advice as I had the BBC a year or so before they got into the schools. The last machine I linked was the 2tb cheaper machine, so, according to Sir Chopsalot, the original one does come with DDR4 ram, whatever that is. . Gives me a knackered boiler any day. You build my PC and I'll tile your bath ?
  17. The only advice I can add, is to go for pine / other wood in the bathrooms, for just that side of the frame. Having even a bit of splashed water at the floor / architrave junction will result in what I have.......swollen first inch syndrome. Mine have already gone after just two years and a lesson learnt. They'll be coming off soon to be replaced with wood. Id also suggest that for kitchen / utility, you fully paint the underside before cutting and fitting as this will be a good way to guarantee that mopping etc won't cause similar issues.
  18. Ok, so grab the PC for now, and do a swap out when the GC comes along. . Cheers, and my boy has already confirmed most of what you've said.....he's a clever little bugger Hello new PC, goodbye wallet ???
  19. I'd rather hang on tbh and get further 'council' before parting with my moola. Fyi the graphics card and PSU are something I'm aware need to be added, but that was a birthday hit and this is the Xmas hit. . Will the big GC and 450w PSU fit in the zoostorm machine? Sorry if I'm missing the woods for the trees here but can you give me a yes or no for my sanitys sake ? If your sure it'll be better to make a machine from scratch then I'm 100% up for it. What's the BEST direction ?
  20. Can someone please translate From what I got, the zoostorm is only going to end up as a bloody donor pc ?!? The case is too small to upgrade / install the graphics card it seems. Now even more confused ( but thanks for the heads up ? ) so do I just buy all the 'separates' and make the damn thing from scratch? Clocks against me too ??
  21. Bump Anyone know if that graphics card ( or probably a bigger one ? ) wil go in this machine? Says a mini tower format or some other computing voodoo, I know not of this world. I'm assuming that it'll need the power supply upgrading, but I can do that when the graphics card goes in, can I not?
  22. Double up on the EPS and save the good stuff for elsewhere. It's not exactly going to be hot against cold under the bath . You could just drill a half inch hole in the side of the boxing in, after fitting the bath, and squirt a dozen cans of exp foam into the void .
  23. Ooo, they do a 1200 x 150mm too.
  24. cheers ?
  25. Was 1200 x 300 a typo ?
