ToughButterCup Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 ..... can you hold in your mouth while screwing your battens down? Please God nothing makes me look up and so swallow a few. ?
PeterW Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 You need a Kuni tool pouch or trousers with lots of pockets ...
Gone West Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I filled up the pockets on my tool belt when I was battening.
Construction Channel Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 In answer to your question. The width of your mouth/the diameter of the screw, but really you want a nail bag as everyone else said. ?
ToughButterCup Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 Got a nail bag, but it is a lot faster if I put about five in my mouth and four in my hand, and one being driven. Ibuprofen dose by 10:30 I suppose... ? 1
Dudda Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Haven't really held screws in my mouth since I cut my gum. I was lucky. It was more of a bad scrape but did find it awkward eating on one side for a few days.
ProDave Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I tried that with plasterboard screws. They have some coating which tastes horrible.....

jack Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Can you tie a cherry stalk into a knot with your tongue?
ToughButterCup Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 Nope. The stalks aren't long enough. The other factors is that I have a devoted partner who de-stalks cherries for me before serving them on a silver platter. In relation to the image: I have a nice little 12 volt Bosch impact drill that fits neatly into one of the pouches.

Soz, just deleted the image before reading your comment. It was there because I was going to suggest you get a tool belt before you said you had a nail bag. Deleted it in-text, but forgot to delete it as an attachment.
MikeSharp01 Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 The answer is 0, Zero, Many modern screws have flashing and burs on them and you will end up with splinters in your mouth. I never walk with anything in my mouth after witnessing one of my school chums having a fountain pen removed from his cheek after he fell over in the playground while carrying his pen in his mouth. He was very lucky. 1
Ferdinand Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I’m with @MikeSharp01 on this. For me screws in the mouth are an “ew” concept. I imagine falling over then having to have screws put back in to hold my teeth or jawbone together. If I still have my teeth I do not care how much longer it takes. F

Perfect for holding bits and a couple of screws.
