Trw144 Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 (edited) Well I started my build March 16 with the best intentions of producing a blog for the site. Well, full time work and two children plus the build meant the blog feel by the wayside, so instead of a blog I thought I could at least post some finished pictures, and if anyone has any questions on what I ve done I can answer them. Anyhow here's the back of the house, with the sliding doors opening up to the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge... Edited June 17, 2017 by Trw144 10
Trw144 Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 Yes - the planning permission was for two houses so I actually built two, and sold the other 2

Jeremy Harris Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Looks very crisp and neat. I particularly like the shaded balcony, that seems a really good looking, and very practical, feature. I'm not normally a fan of modern design, but have to say that I'd love to live in a house like yours.
Nickfromwales Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Fair do's Tom, they look the dogs bollocks. ? Some pics of the tiling next please, to see what I'm up against

ProDave Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Started in March, Finished in June. No wonder you didn't have time to keep the blog updated. I won't let SWMBO know how quick you built your house...... Looks very smart indeed. Well done. 1

PeterW Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I take it you mean March 2016 to now as otherwise you're a candidate for worlds fastest build ..... did you do them side by side or was one the "learning" house ..?

Sorry, yes march 2016! We moved in in December - since then have been doing the outside cladding and garden. Did them pretty much side by side.

Declan52 Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 It really does taste nice. It's chicken and beer how could it not. 1
PeterW Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Just a tip - find a beer can that doesn't have the plastic widget in it as it doesn't taste nice when it's been melted .... 1

We even have a special holder: https://www.weberbbq.co.uk/product/weber-original-poultry-roaster/)

vivienz Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Lovely. Out of interest, what is the internal area of the house? Also, what is the depth of the balcony?
