Worst blog ever..

Well I started my build March 16 with the best intentions of producing a blog for the site. Well, full time work and two children plus the build meant the blog feel by the wayside, so instead of a blog I thought I could at least post some finished pictures, and if anyone has any questions on what I ve done I can answer them. Anyhow here's the back of the house, with the sliding doors opening up to the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge...

Yes - the planning permission  was for two houses so I actually built two, and sold the other

See...if you'd have done a blog I'd have known that! :)

Seriously though it looks great and huge. That patio set looks lost.

Yes - we actually bought it for the balcony of our old house and never used it. We only got it out of storage the other day but a new patio set is on the shopping list!

Some pics of the tiling next please, to see what I'm up against :D

Will post some up. Just been christening my big green egg BBQ but would imagine @Nickfromwales would call it criminal to waste a can of beer by shoving it up a chickens ? bum.

Started in March, Finished in June. No wonder you didn't have time to keep the blog updated.  I won't let SWMBO know how quick you built your house......

Looks very smart indeed. Well done.

I take it you mean March 2016 to now as otherwise you're a candidate for worlds fastest build ..... did you do them side by side or was one the "learning" house ..?

Sorry, yes march 2016! We moved in in December - since then have been doing the outside cladding and garden.

Did them pretty much side by side.

Cladding looks very sharp. What is it?

(P.S. I love beer can chicken. St Austell Tribute Ale is by far the best chicken beer! We even have a special holder:

The claddding is pre stained cedar - new age gris from Vincent timber - it was one of big areas of decision/worry on the house in terms of the impact on the final finish but we re pleased with it and think it suits.

Lovely.

Out of interest, what is the internal area of the house?  Also, what is the depth of the balcony?

Hi

The internal area (excluding attached garage) is 300m2, and the balcony depth about 1.5m.
