Stonking today for October ?

We had negative pricing overnight! Strong winds and clear today.

Typically, we had screed pour Friday but the dehumidifier only arrives Tuesday. We could have left it going overnight and it would have helped pay for its own hire! Still maybe a few more surges this week.

Yeah I saw that . I think it was unexpected. Soon though you’ll have to choose agile or go ....

My house used about 85% on the cheap rate.

The price difference is 12p/kWh.

So in my usual usage of about 11 kWh/day, upping that by 13% would save me a whopping 13p/day.

If all my power came in free, then I would save £1.3/day, £465/year.

Sometimes it pays to use more.

Octupus Agile or (Octopus) Telsa Tarif?

- Agile you are messing around trying to get Powerwall to charge at the best time based on agile tarrif.

- Tesla Tarif is 11p for all exports and imports.   (double Octupus standard export rate)

If you have a fairly decent sized PV array, I wondering if it make sense to skip all the complexity of agile (and lack of API to control powerwall) and just go with the Tesla Tarrif.

(You no longer need a Telsa car for Telsa Tarif)

I’m going to the Tesla tariff because of the simplicity of pricing

Out of interest have you tried a modern Linux distro? Mint is superb. Zorin allows you to have a Mac looking desktop.

Yep . Linux is cool - but what do you think a Mac OS is built on ? Unix is the god operating system

They’re spoiling my thread again

I do notice that MS named an OS 'Snowball'.

Bet that was fun when searching for it if the Adult Filter was switched off.  Especially if you added in "Work Group".

(note, not much interweb about in 1993, was nearly all porn)

Linux is cool. And of you choose a proper version of Linux you get it without all the apple bloatware / restrictive software to cripple it.

In which case you won't need any magic/app to control powerall and you won't care less about the API I was mentioning is lacking.  Tesla will control battery instead..

Which Tesla Tarrif:

-   11p once that doesn't need a car?

-   8p  one that needs Telsa car?

In our case given we'll export more than we import over the full year, I assume 11p would make most sense.  (not that we have car yet)

11p will get an EV next year but not a Tesla....
