I have long been a fan of Click Mode. Cheap but nice looking and good quality.  What not many people realise, is the switch modules can be unscrewed from the front plate, enabling you to mix ordinary 2 way, and intermediate light switches on the same plate, without having to choose a "grid" system type switch.

Nice to have a local supplier for them at last. I usually buy them on line.

^ you can do that with the Hager Sollysta too.

Thanks, I did not know that. Hager is another make I like a lot, particularly for CU's.

New welder or accessories anyone? 7.5% off:

It’s not on discount but so far my research has led me to this stick welder..... not rushing to buy one as funds are tight and my landrover needs a full brake overhaul......  but it’s on my “next” tool purchase list after a bit more research.

Buy it. It is the mutt's nuts. It's the one I bought for work. Smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy as Bruno Mars would say. So quiet you can have a normal conversation whilst welding.

Remember that pop up socket I fitted in my kitchen that I paid £21 for from ebay, and @Onoff later told me I could get it cheaper from CPC?

Well those nice folk at CPC have it on special offer now for £15.40 +VAT https://cpc.farnell.com/brennenstuhl/1396203003/tower-power-table-extension/dp/PL1578006?krypto=KL0WuTwxhUp3zGEwEpNc5Cflh99ws1A2zfu85rXk70qrVobpk2zrkylcEJli6flyQBfMy1qdON0NHyKGw8NHZw%3D%3D&ddkey=https%3Aen-CPC%2FCPC_United_Kingdom%2Fsearch

Lidl doing Scottish beer range soon:

https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/Offers.htm?id=819&week=1

No one in Scotland can afford to drink it now ;). Met a guy from Tain on the bus during Storm Ali who was on holiday in Berwick-Upon-Tweed. He said that he had come down for a holiday and chose Berwick as he had saved £150 on buying whisky from his local distilleries that were just a few miles from his house.

Probably Balblair. That's a small one that seems to sell it at a reasonable price on site.  Certainly not Glenmorangie, that has over inflated tourist prices in it's visitor centre.

I recall being horrified when on Islay to find the Bowmore whisky cheaper in the Coop that it was at the distilery.

Badly worded on my part. I meant that he had saved £150 buying it in Berwick lol. I think he mentioned Glenmorangie so may have been that. Being a non whisky drinker I don't know a single malt from a bourbon O.o

That makes more sense.  A "booze cruise to the borders"

To be honest I buy most of my Whisky from Lidl, whatever they have on offer, usually have something decent for not so much money.

There are some well known and not so well known distileries around here like the already mentioned  Glenmorangie, Balblair, Dalmore, Teaninich, Glen Ord, Tomatin, and it's not far to Speyside.

Look out for the new kid on the block, The Ardross distillery under construction 2 miles from here hoping to start production next year.

I do a 'booze cruise to England' as it's only about 20 miles. Crazy times.
