Efficient Hot Water Piping
Plumbersmateuk replied to NeilW's topic in Energy Efficient & Sustainable Design Concepts
I want to go down one of these routes, Most grateful if it hasn't been discussed already -
Many thanks for the link and I'm not adverse to buying abroad
-
Got to agree with you there.............How long have you had them? Do they dis-colour, 'cause that's my biggest gripe with the others, or rather the ones I've got.

Bath Surround / Boxing In, and concealed pipework
Plumbersmateuk replied to Onoff's topic in Bathrooms, Ensuites & Wetrooms
If that's the case I'll wait for the "Box Set" it's usually cheaper............... -
For me, my biggest gripe before contacting the companies is the quality of the web sites. To much glitz and glamour and not enough informatioon on the actual products. I have a clear picture of what I want so I could dismiss a lot of the companies straight away if thay had more relevant product info.

Hmmm https://www.directdoors.com/doors/eclisse-10mm-clear-glass-double-pocket-door-no-des/ Expensive................. I'm going to have double sliding pocket doors but going to use some oak glass panel doors that I got off gumtree.

I was fortunate to be able to visit recently and whilst there is some work still to be done it is a credit to them both, it is luverlly.
-
Many thanks for that, I will contact them soon. I am in the process of clearing the site ready for a soil survey but like most places snowed off
-
Happy days, good luck to you both. I suppose it will be a sad moment pulling down the old house.

diy-kitchens.com any experience?
Plumbersmateuk replied to Jude1234's topic in Kitchen Units & Worktops
You know a lot more than me about kitchens but I have to say from my personal experience (my Diy-Kichen is over 8 years old) I think they are real value for money. I have just compared some of the prices to Nobilia (could be an old price list) and there is a vast difference. I like the Diy web site most of the others have got to much glitz and glamour going on, I want to see the units and prices. Whilst I want a kichen to be asthetic, it's functionality is more important to me. -
Take a pic and contact them explaining your disapointment and maybe, just maybe you might be surprised? I had a problem with my Magimix (all jokes gratefully received) contacted them and sorted. Same with Cambridge Audio, a replacement remote (8 year old) supplied FOC and I had asked how much a replacement would cost.

Ah maybe worth before the warrenty runs out to contact them querying a replacement. I just had my Cambridge Blu Ray player remote fail after 8 years, Icontacted Cambridge asking to purchase a new one if poss. and thay sent me one FOC, lucky boy or what. -
Thanks for that I've bookmarked them
-
You could start a new one were folks could share their pictures, company used etc.......just a thought

Just been chatting to @hmpmarketing about SIP's so I thought I would just update. I didn't have to do anything naughty to the trees, I got the OK from the council to remove everything apart from the three big ones (two beech one scotts pine) between the lamposts. The only condition is I replant four, which I really have no problem with. From previous posts I have discussed the problem with living 300mls away and getting people to do the work. I have met 6 tree surgeons, some of which have actually given me quotes but all have just dissapeared. I now have it sorted by "The Backyard Barbers" who are taking everything out next week (which is fantastic 'cause the bird nesting season starts 1st March and I would have been snookered until September again). I will visit and take some photos to post here next week for those who are interested
