They have a good reputation but I have never had my hands in one to confirm this. Agree with nick on years down the line parts may become more of a issue that the main players which would be a major factor for me. As for warranty some manufacturers just don't have the coverage in my area (aberdeenshire) for next day repair so maybe worth checking this out as well.

Wall vents for mvhr
Alexphd1 replied to ProDave's topic in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
Le-cerveau. Problem with commercial units they take a large price jump. Vent axia has just launched a larger model kinetic high flow which would probably do you just fine. Before this unit was on market I was looking at two domestic models. -
We are up in peterhead. Our main issue has been with the local engineer who failed to grasp the passive slab and icf principal. Hopefully the new one from Ireland does! For a diy basis, slow project the icf seemed a good solution. Also the houses (parents and mine) are pretty large so a bit of steel needed which works well with icf.

Hi. Also building 30 mile north of Aberdeen with passive slab and icf. Have had problems with engineers but hopefully on track now.
-
We had a fall of about a meter over twenty meter (length of house). We are having a patio then a 0.8m retaining wall before grass . Our finished slab level will be at least 150mm above ground level. Will hide excavated stuff around site.

Much appreciated. We have done a barn with Planwell but it's slightly too commercial of a look for this project. Will be looking at other standing seam roofs.

Thanks for feedback, I have booked myself on to the tata course day course.
-
Anybody used the tata steel roof? Is it doable on a diy basis? Rough est m2 cost. Any other similar roofs to have a look at?

I think some gas combis can be slowed down to 9kw max output for heating and still the full power for DHW, which would still probably be over kill for your UFH.
-
I presume you don't have mains gas?

Thank you for your reply. I will have a look more into this product.

I presume that's a lime based render?
-
We are doing a Icf house and have started to look at renders. We like the roughcast finish. We are amongst a lot of trees. What's the options traditional, acrylic. Anything to avoid?

Xtwostore.com for European plumbing pricing
Alexphd1 replied to AliG's topic in Bathrooms, Ensuites & Wetrooms
I have been eyeing them up as well. Slightly cheaper than reuter.de . -
good old MB plant!
-
I presume you're including purchase of ground in that m2 cost?
-
i have seen a form been done before. It was pretty deep full depth of the UFH screed (i think) but I didnt like this idea in a 150mm structural slab, but if only 25mm then i cant see it being a problem.
-
We are doing a KORE slab. How do we go about pouring the whole house slab and getting a run for a tiled wet room?
-
50k sounds a lot but looking through the list you should get a good chunk of that back. We are very similar. Digger, herras fence, trailer, stihl saw, lasers, cement mixers, scaffolding etc which will all be sold (hopefully) after the builds.
