This is maybe of a interest but I am planning a very similar door to the first one (black glass) from ecowin (uk agent for gaulhofer) in Fife, not a million miles from you. I would not have considered this style of door until i seen it a another new build . -
Antaresint.com . They used to be a pretty strict trade only supplier, they where European based so a lot of continental plumbing stuff ie hot and cold manifolds, heat exchangers etc. I haven't ordered stuff from them in years but there catalogue came through the door this morning.

@SteptoeNo fun in that. TBH it took a bit longer than expected but it's came up pretty good. Don't think we will bother painting it now which is a bonus! -
Is this waffle apply north of the border aswell?

@Triple07Much appreciated . We don't have this sorted out yet but will be a while before we are looking further into this. How's the build coming along, are you directly across from the walled garden? -

Kee klamp fittings bbq table
Alexphd1 replied to Alexphd1's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
Impressive? -
A wee bit off building a house topic but has anybody used kee klamp fittings and galvanised pipe to build any furniture? I like the idea of using this with either scaffolding boards or railway sleepers sanded down for a outside table. All opinons/ideas welcome.

Good link, Thats a big difference from the sales patter! better order more slates!

i just got a quote of £9.8k for a 8.3kw in roof system, mcs registered. I reackon i can do a DIY instal for £7k on a like for like basis. Is the MCS worth the extra £2800. All prices are excluding vat.

Sorry I misread your post. My engineer (Tanner stuctural design) never even offered me a schedule I just made one of the drawings. Pretty straight forward.
-
Yeah you could set up a jig and mass produce but we felt it was more efficient just getting it cut and bent from supplier.

@JSHarris could you upload a picture of your machine?

The best UK online price was just over £1000, $800 online in usa. I am waiting for a price for local graco agent. Second hand value seem (ebay) to be between 350-500 but I don't think I would pay that type of money in case machine has been bad used. At jsHarris price then it's a no brainer worth a go even if you need to replace some parts. Painting forums both sides of the pond seem to place the 390 as the professional entry level for residential painting in the graco range anything less like the graco magnum etc a waste of time. Will have a look at the spraytech but titan airlessco where all spoken of highly on painting forums. Lot of variation on opinons for backrolling from back rolling 1st and 2nd last coat to no backrolling. Seems crazy to back roll the paint to lower the quality of finish for touching up.
-
@IanR did the painters back roll after the first coat?
-
I can't help on the operation side of things but will be very interested on your progress with the machine as I am eyeing up a graco 390 airless sprayer myself. What model is it?
-
Did you fill out the g59-3 paperwork yourselves or the installer?

slight off topic but this may be a interest to some people on this topic. they have some other interesting thermal stores/buffer tanks for sale as well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122413851641?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT PS i have no connection to this company and have personally ruled out the above as i would like a stainless steel thermal store.
