  1. @Nickfromwales Can you confirm which ivar pump has the low temp setting. I bought the above one and it's mim is 35 degree.
  2. Bargain, would have been buying it myself if I was closer! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/uponor-unipipe-16x2-under-floor-heating-pipe-500m/302913530961?hash=item46870dac51:g:~gIAAOSwrHxbu3Vn:rk:4:pf:0
  3. Welcome. Big ICF fan here. Build almost finished.
  4. Its for spray machine, manufacturer states 30cfm but we are running machine at about 2/3 of capacity.
  5. I am looking for a 30cfm air compressor to power a pump also need a 3 phase generator at same time. My options are:- 1. Rent one (hate paying somebody for a loan of tools) 2.Buy a petrol one (very expensive) 3. Buy a 3 phase one and rent a bigger 3 phase generator when using it 4. Can I run two smaller 15cfm single phase ones grouped together? I like this idea as would keep one when finished job. 5. Buy a three phase and rewire to single phase. Any other options?
  6. Nothing wrong with wunda or grundfos. Is there a seal/washer to go in there?
  7. Nice garage! I can't see the point of having a extra door. We are also installing a external keypad entry for the garage door.
  8. That's not cheap.
  9. Good luck!
  10. The cupa heavy 3 is the norm around here.
  11. Hello, we are just a few miles from rora. A few projects recently did not meet the shires policy but still passed.... If the refusel is not official try and pull it out.
  12. We are going to have this problem shortly and came across a spray on tanking. We used it a few days ago on a single skin blockwork wall for below a sandstone cladding and was very easy to use. Sprayed on with a airless sprayer. http://www.icf-tech.com/basement-construction/ I will prob play safe and use a peel and stick membrane when it come to the ICF basement.
  13. We are using a 140mm and 40mm deep sandstone on a mix of concrete blocks and nudara ICF. I dont see a problem with doing around windows etc .
  14. Much appreciated. I am actually looking at a solar pump station with a 8-28l range and 28mm pipe connections direct from Poland.
  15. Anybody know what they set up the L/pm flow on the ashp? Just looking at flow gauges.
  16. @jack Yes hot water circularators are a good solution for some circumstances but I would try and design it out. Sounds like it's either bad planning or bad installation that you have a 45 second wait on what sounds like a very short distance.
  17. We are using the same stone but having a 15mm recessed mortar. That picture is a dry effect, you do not see any mortar. The quarry (not importer) is just north of dundee (http://denfindstone.co.uk/). They are very easy to speak to. We are using a 140mm cladding cut stone but will be using down to 40mm at other parts of the job. Where are you based? I will add pictures later.
  18. Sorry not meaning to be sarcastic, but I have found traditional trade accounts in plumbing are non existing now mainly thanks to internet. Have a look at megabad for example, I have found nothing in the UK gets close (trade or public) to their villeroy & boch / geberit price. With a new build I would try and stay away from a hot water circulator pump and go with a hot water distribution manifold (although you could run a hot water loop to the manifold) and have individual runs form the manifold. Even pipe insulation i can get generic grey (usually crap) insulation for pence a meter or decent stuff for £'s a meter. You really need to nail the spec and start comparing apples with apples. Also be aware that the plumber providing flow and return tails for the ASHP is probably 80% of the work to install the ASHP!
  19. TBH i don't know if plumbing trade accounts accounts actually exist now.
  20. The link above is to the stone I liked not the masons. Yes I went with the masons and their 1st day was yesterday. TBH work involved and quality of job they are doing I think its pretty good value, apart from they where on site at 7am...... They used to work for the quarry and still sub work from them I would happily recommend them.
  21. What's wrong with ply?
  22. You can hire a scanner for £40 a day and not much more for a week, money well spent ( talking from experience??)
  23. Do you need all the permits on a unadopted lane?
  24. Funny I just watched that paint a room on 12 minutes video a couple of days ago. I was planning to start spraying two days ago for tanking on to concrete block with sandstone cladding but unfortunatelyI machine is caput.... needs a new liner??
