UFH wiring hubs can have a dry contact for each channel and you can do nifty linking of the inputs and outputs to give different combos. I've one of these (Hetta branded, but they don't sell them any more) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000221789143.html with four thermostats. Multiple stats can be assigned to a channel, and channels can be paralleled also. Plus an additional dry, and a live mains contact.

I think that cover just clips over- try gently levering away from the door just where the hole is for the Allen...

^ do that a couple of times and you could've paid for an air fryer... We've a Panasonic flatbed combi and it's a super thing. It will do all three modes simultaneously (has a proper oven element) and it's inbuilt programs for pizza and jacket spuds are very good indeed.

no the logic is that the startup of the compressor is controlled, and so oil and gas can be gently redistributed rather than with a switch-start 1ph machine the pump is "blocked" from starting by the liquid refrigerant same thing applies to air compressors- a switch-start machine has a valve built into the pressure switch to "unload" the pump head until the rpms and output pressure build. Switching the compressor on at the wall instead of the airswitch results in a humming noise and a blown fuse...

@JohnMo yes the supply to the ASHP is singlephase, but the inverter converts it to a nice controllable voltage-, current-, and frequency- controlled 3phase.

"single phase" there means it doesn't apply to any inverter units as they use a 3-ph compressor and slowly ramp up speed, automatically clearing down gently with no "protector" to trip out anyway...

@Tamdray where did the last photo in your post come from as it's from a different door?

I do wonder how accurate the readings of power analysers are vs certified meters, especially at the low end and with odd power factors...

Is there a maintenance procedure for clearing it of mould, insects etc?

If it's not actually leaking, could you not just add another expansion vessel elsewhere in the system?

I did however glue a washer onto each flap, to weight it a bit more and ensure it *only* opened with the strong flow from the hood. For motorised, you're probably looking for a spring-return fire damper unit, as the cheap chinese motorised units require an odd switching logic that would be difficult to integrate with our way of wiring things, IMO.

If the duct runs vertical for a bit, there are good sealed gravity flaps available. That's the route I took. Motorised damper is another possibility.
