  1. That doesn’t help . The issue is bedding the thing
  2. Is a manhole riser a rude thing ?
  3. The sump lid can be walked on so must be stable .,,.
  4. I know . It didn’t want to give the impression you need a 2nd I.e external inverter ( so 3 in total ! 😁 )
  5. Would that really do ? . Still need to ‘bed’ gorilla tub . Currently sump tub can ‘wobble ‘ around as base isn’t flat .
  6. I’m not sure about your “ can’t meet demand “ quote . If my SE is set correctly and PW goes over it’s 5kw limit SE and/or PV take up the slack . So my maximum “load” is 5k (pw ) + SE (3.68k) . So I would assume multiple SE or PW ( other makes ) can provide greater loads combined ????
  7. I have 1 inverter for all I.e pv , se , pw
  8. Deep in the bowels of the earth I break out concrete so I can get a sump in . There’s no way I can get the base ‘smooth ‘ . How best to bed the sump so no sharp bits puncture it ? . Dry sand and cement mix ? - then gently allow water to soak in around the base ? Better method ? Keen eyed amongst you will notice that this job was too much for the black and gold team ( Dewalt ) so we called in the Hilti boy . Appreciate Makita users won’t be familiar with that and need to go back to their cocktail at the Pink Flamingo nightclub .
  9. Good advice here . Initially I had a 4kw pv array and a PowerWall 2 . Really pleased with it . But before war and energy hikes I decided to get the array doubled and wanted more storage ( the aim being to never take from the grid at peak rate ) . As you mention PW wait times are 18 months + . I went for a SolarEdge battery . It’s a bit of a fiddle to get them to play nice - but is doable . I would choose your system now battery wise as you’ll be in a long queue anyway . PV as big as you can go . Inverter as large as DNO will allow would be my advice . As getting a battery is someway off I would get an EV sooner rather than later ( though they can be hard to come by ) . Objective being to export as little as possible .
  10. If that does occur a photo will be posted up here asap !!
  11. Just a wc and sink - thanks Presume the fused spur can be up the wall high I.e out of harms way ( but reachable of course )
  12. Can’t find anything obvious online . Can it go straight back to the CU ? . Need a fused spur in the wc room or outside ? Don’t want bco pulling a face …. ( not that they’ll ever visit but just in case )
  13. Just tell your installer you want full access . It really is easy get them to setup especially if you haven’t made full payment yet . It’s your system not his ….
  14. You’re going to finish this ! - unlike @Onoff
  15. @ToughButterCupafter 2 years must have your answer ( he didn’t tag me 😁 )
  16. I know exactly what you should do , it’s easy . But because you didn’t tag me I’m not going to tell you ! Darn ! I’m 2 years to late !
  17. That’s because the man in the attic left
  18. Yes agree with the Gxx requirement. Just suggesting that exporting isn’t the be all and end all - though clearly the system needs to be installed with compliance.
  19. Tbh if you plan a battery soon ( ish ) the export rate you are permitted becomes far less important. I can only export 3.6kw but I can store 23kw . Initially my plan was to export everything I could ; now it’s to store everything I can . Export rate is pretty poor ( 4.1p kw ) - so better to store .
  20. “ My wife swapping “ …. 🙄
  21. As you know @Onoff - if it was easy everyone would do it . Why do something easy ? . Do something ‘ard !
  22. But that’s all part of the fun . It shows to err is human 😁
  23. And everyone on here 😁🤣👍
