No ! Because it looks even worse !

Yes, yes, yes - the title is a clue. Right at the start of my build ( in the dim and dark past now ) I had to construct some light wells ( they are external to the build ). I've avoided doing anything with them as I can see they are a "pigs ear" as @Mr Punter would say. They are no where near level or straight - so it's fix/bodge mode. TBH in reality you won't ever see any of this; so it's all good 🤣 This timber for example is level ( with the gap in! - the gap is wedged shaped so not consistent ) the block work is MUNG. Structural glazing will sit on this upstand so I'm not happy about packing it out with some skinny timber and window frame packers and then foam filling it ( that sounds too dodgy for even me ). I was contemplating just doing a thick bed of cement on that off brick work and screw down the timber ontop of that until level. But timber against concrete externally ; not a good idea??? I then googled "expanding concrete " - you know like expanding foam - but structurally strong. I can but wish! So best way to fix this ( there are a good few more like it also )??? Knew this would come back to bite me on the arse one day.

Did they give an eta on this ? . It’s been promised for *ages* . Such a simple obvious thing to have .

It’s great to be “handy” but! …

Mobile Phone Reception issue?

WiFi calling or get an external area for cellular and feed it into your house and a booster ( these are expensive ) -
It was strange for me for other reasons: Every raspberry pi "didn't exist" i.e. couldn't list their IP's nor could I ping them ( everything else existed though ). I haven't rebooted any pi's before or after the event. Blu Iris must of been running as it was triggering lighting which means the ip camera must be working and indeed homeseer z wave was working to turn the light on. So it was like everything is working but you can't access anything. Don't like these situation especially when magic fixes them. Have ordered a portable HDMI screen so at least if it happens again I can plug that into the HA pc as it's headless. If that ever goes down ( it hasn't; but windows always decides to do an update at some point ) then we have no lights, no heating, no audio etc. etc. SWMBO approval factor then drops rapidly!!

MAC address is assigned an IP address . Some things are dchp so get allocated ; others static . All very strange that *everything* failed . I’ll put it down to a hub bug … 🙄

Nope
-
Maybe . But like you I could ping everything ….

Just IP
-
None

Checked that - nothing

Really strange thing happened today . Bear in mind I hadn’t been in IT mode today …. Firstly my chrome remote login to my HA server wouldn’t work I.e wasn’t online . I rebooted HA even though it’s headless but no joy . Tried logging into ip cameras . Browser just hangs - no error . So reboot hub ; reboot mesh network . Still no joy . Reboot netgear poe switches . Still nothing ! Can browse web pages no issue I.e wan - but nothing local . Tried WiFi just to hub ( no mesh ) same issue . Completely stumped ! No idea what else to check / do . 20 minutes later ( through no effort of my own ) all started working !! 🙄🙄🙄

You'll do it in the workshop, but you won't do it at home
