  1. Don't drop the soap...
  2. Only ever fired it up at "setting 1" on the bench with a 32A supply and it was like what I imagine being on the receiving end of a Harrier Jump Jet exhaust would be like. Nearly as noisy too. A bit of a white elephant possibly. It's a Triton Airobe. No longer made. I heard something about the MK1 being very vulnerable to moisture on the PCB etc. Not sure what model mine is but the PCB will get a spray of conformal coating. Very expensive at the time. I got it dirt cheap off a bloke who thought he could run it off the lighting circuit 😂 It was apparently too much trouble to run the new 8/9kW supply cable back to the cu. There was a video for it on YouTube but I can't find it now.
  3. I made myself a shed load of work by not battening. Had an airtight, VCL'd ceiling. I then punched 4 holes for down lights, 2 for Bluetooth speakers and a bfo one for a body dryer. I have a plan to reinstate the insulation and airtightness on all the penetrations. Been saying that for a few years! 😂 Covered with a Thermahood that I've yet to stick down and insulate around / on top.
  4. How much insulation between the rafters? Thermahood do a 95mm high hood.
  5. I'd give the pump threads and washer faces a good smear of Jet Blue Plus. Each to their own on goopy tub stuff but it's my goto. I use it mainly on compression fittings and find I don't need PTFE tape. The stuff stops that horrible brass squeak noise, let's you nip a bit tighter and fills any little voids, it's just wonderful. No more weepy joints here.
  6. I like the canal boat ones.

  8. Mixer to one side I'd say is definitely a good idea especially with a rainfall head.
  9. Don't know your planned setup but I positioned my valve to one side of the riser / head. Means you can turn the shower on without getting wet.
  10. Back from the pub, quite happy, stinking of woodsmoke. The craic was good. BP undoubtedly down. Go figure.
  11. Listen to that! https://flic.kr/p/2rT7t8f
  12. Yeah but they don't make your willy go funny like a V8! This from somebody who's just about to take delivery of an EV.
  13. It's fine, this is a very OLD one.
  14. https://e360.yale.edu/digest/tree-ring-study-medieval-warm-period https://www.geol.umd.edu/sgc/elevator/elevator16.html Two sides to every story. I'm going up the pub later to sit in front of a roaring open fire with a pint and talk b@llocks rather than read it.
  15. Presumably if he hadn't have won he'd have no longer felt bound to think purely of peace?
  16. I read that as polar bears drying out!
  17. Didn't dream this:
  18. Wonder what a drone / claymore combo would do to a solar farm? 🤔 Vulnerable, oh yes!
  19. Just vaguely recall someone "copying" my concealed mixer, riser, rainfall setup but in plastic. Yes, I did copper and brass.
  20. Not worth using plastic?
  21. I've been working closely with a major infrastructure supplier. Ceased trading as they'd bet on the lower Thames crossing, HS2 phase 2 etc. Bought stock etc. More than bet on I think, letters of intent etc. All their bespoke manufacturing kit is going abroad. No doubt when our shelved projects kick off again the stuff will be made overseas. With a capital F!
  22. PMSL! 🤣 Who makes all the renewable kit? PV panels, inverters, batteries? We'll still need all that imported and be reliant / vulnerable to outside forces pulling the plug.
  23. I've used a multi tool to cut Celcon before. Whatever blade, knife through butter etc. Wall chaser's another option.
