    I stopped reading The Indepenent years ago when it's format changed and they went for this single story on the front page crap. Too opinionated imo. The Times is so much more balanced. Chuck a few pages from The Sport in and @Onoff would be a happy bunny!

    I wonder if, with careful positioning of the Sunamp unit in relation to combined, insulated waste water pipework they could include a "waste water loop"?

    @AndyT was telling me of Sunamps being specifically used to store heat from hot tubs between guests at I think big "Centreparc" type establishments if I recall. Having stayed at CP etc myself a good few times you have to be out by say 10am with new guests coming in at say 3pm or whatever. Arriving you expect the hot tub to be ready for you from the off. In those 5 unoccupied hours you don't really want to waste that heat so they pump it through a Sunamp to grab the heat. I presume the process is reversed and clean water run back through to heat up just before the new guests arrive.

    I was working in a commercial building. No glass in just a handrail around the perimeter. Another contractor was working on the 6th floor off an ali tower. They went home and left it in the centre of the floor against the lift core but forgot to lock the wheels... The wind picked up overnight and blew the tower across the floor.....where it toppled over the handrail into the street. It all got hushed up of course.

    I'm lost! Do you have the back boxes in the wall and visible? If so what's the issue - as said above cable runs should have been vertical or horizontal from each switch/socket location. Or is it that the cables are in but the box locations boarded over and you intend plastering first and cutting holes for dry lining boxes later?

    Erm.....you might find the copper wires show up really well! I assume the cables are already in the ducts?

    Do you know how airtight that is, do they give a figure?

    Is there no airtight expanding foam on the market that actually works? Or is that the ones that claim it aren't airtight enough? I know Illbruck claim some of theirs is. Would have to check for any detrimental effect on cabling of course.

    Your garden building isn't built yet is it? Couldn't you "just" raise that?

    Nice bends (spring?). Is that diverter the same as my one?

    Not being big on tiles in the past it's just dawned one how HEAVY tiles are! I hope my battening out is securely fixed! I've about 400kg of wall tiles alone!

    Thanks all. Boxes of tiles EVERYWHERE! Tbh she can't complain as the majority of the boxes are now in the space in the study the bath once occupied!

    If tiling a wall or floor with the same colour tile and you have multiple boxes, what's the norm to minimise shade differences, do you open all the boxes and pick from one box after the other? Wife now getting ready to moan there's 34 odd boxes of tiles getting in the way in the dining room! Cheers
