  1. The BiL is an old school diesel fitter by trade. He questioned whether it could be a "sticky" pump. Talking to him and he reckons one trick is to mix up a gallon of engine oil with the same amount of kerosene and pour that into the tank. This on the basis that kerosene isn't a particularly good lubricant. Saying that, touch wood, since replacing the cap (still the old fridge/freezer salvaged one) and wiping the photocell (which didn't look dirty to me) we've not had a lockout. I've a brand new Riello cap sitting here along with complete bowl filter. Could cold weather combined with a dirty filter cause lockout? Thinking in cold weather the oil is more viscous etc.
  2. Are these particular spots switched / wired otherwise any differently? Is that particular grid switch's wiring in closer proximity to the live feed(s) to the grid bank than the other light switches? In close proximity to any other non lighting circuit wiring? It used to be that these new fangled CFLs could flicker even with the light switch off. Talk abounded of stray capacitance along the 3-core and earth wiring used for two way switching and induced voltage. Swapping the common / strappers around was a trick to try and/or along with fitting a "snubber" from Maplin usually. Actually an RC contact suppressor. (Not Radio Control ?). RG22Y was the product code: What about trying a Danlers CAPLOAD?
  3. Won't the holiday home thing only affect a small percentage.....so who gives a sh!t? ?
  4. You can't seriously be worried about the packaging??? How does it all perform?
  5. SDS plus to max adapter: https://www.amazon.co.uk/121009-Chuck-Adaptor-Shank-Makita/dp/B00JRD0CMM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?
  6. Well I'm impressed. No quibble refund via PayPal when I cancelled my order with Banggood.
  7. Yep. You then get a factory edge on top. You remove the 1mm packs when the tile adhesive has gone off. Then ram in clear CT1 and baby wipe off. Finish with a fillet of your choice of coloured silicone. (& remember to only take photos of the good bits ? )
  8. Thought that's what he was doing?
  9. +1 Wall tiles would have looked like pi$$y little rips there. Cut floor tiles will look much better. As Uncle Nick taught me: Put an upside down tile on 1mm / credit card thick packs. To get your cut line etc.
  10. Sure the underlying walls aren't pi$$ed?
  11. Get yer uncle round! ?
  12. Does that mean SWMBO could go for 3 months then I could go after? That'd work... Thinking further if she did Jul/Aug/Sep then I went Oct/Nov/Dec it'd take us into the next year and start all over again......
  13. 13 pages to refresh your memory:
  14. Give them their due they've come back acknowledging I want to cancel, asking why and if there's anything they can do to keep my order etc. I've just said I made a mistake. See what transpires.
  15. Trying to cancel a Banggood order, even though you apparently can.....what a mission! Talking to a service bot that states 24/7 working. So wtf does it say "Beyond working hour"? The site, well I'm finding it horrible to navigate. The English is pretty poor. Not sure tbh if I've managed to cancel the order or not. The status says "processing". Lesson learnt...probably not! ?
  16. Read reviews first? Nah, I don't have much excitement in my life.

  18. Purchased on a whim! Makita battery powered reciprocating saw. Didn't really need one but... https://m.banggood.com/Cordless-Handheld-Electric-Reciprocating-Saw-Saber-Saw-W-or-12X-Blades-For-Makita-18V-Battery-p-1723641.html? 3-5 days from the Czech Republic. We'll see! EDIT: Just found it on WISH for half what I paid! ? https://www.wish.com/c/5f23f92e7c363e2a618f53da?
  19. That'd be nice: Check that grout line though!
  20. There's this image: Here: https://www.calor.co.uk/home-energy/new-to-lpg/my-options/lpg-installation-options?tabname=lpg-cylinders
  21. I'm going to get a small UPS if only for the bathroom Bluetooth unit here. We must have had half a dozen small power cuts last night and in the middle of the night the Bluetooth would play it's little power on tune! I should ring the supplier tbh and ask wtf is going on.
  22. It's about a group of nerd scientists, one of whom lands a hot girlfriend. If only life imitated art eh?
  23. Can you not dig a little pit thus lowering the cylinders?

  25. Would the kids get the spherical chickens in a vacuum joke, inside the crackers though?
